I wake up in Ian's bed. He's sitting on the couch in his room watching Netflix.
"How'd I get here? Where's everyone?"I ask
"They went home. Don't worry I told your parents you could stay for the night." He smiles.
"Oh thanks." I say.
"By the way, josh carried you here." He gives me the 'I know he likes you' look.
I roll my eyes.
"I probably look like a mess." I say getting up to check the time.
"Nah you're fine." He says.
"It's 10:45pm." I sigh.
The rest of the night we watch more scary ass movies and talk.
I change into one of his shirts and put on some of his mother's shorts.
I go to check my phone.
There are 56 notifications!
"My hotline has been blinging af!" I laugh.
"More than mine" he says showing me his 2 notifications from his phone company.
"When bae texts back" he coos.
"But it's really just your phone company." I laugh.
We both laugh.
I get 16 texts from Shawn and for some reason I get 40 texts and calls from his sister, Aaliyah.
I text Aaliyah.
Me: you awake?
Aaliyah: no why?
Me: I got 40 notifications from you.
Aaliyah: oh yeah um.
Me: girl what?
Aaliyah: well I kinda need to talk to you. FaceTime?
Me: kk hold up.
FaceTime ringing...
"Hey" she says.
"Liyah?!" I hear Ian say.
He runs into the kitchen and his feet make a splat noise every step he takes.
"Hey Li Li. What did you want to talk to me about?" I ask.
"Well, it's Shawn. He feels like you've been ignoring him." She says.
"Oh great. Ok well I'll talk to home ok?" I say.
"AALIYAH COME DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!" I hear Mrs. Karen call.
"I got to go, love you!" She says.
"Love ya too," I say and hang up.
I go to the texts from Shawn.
Shawny: hello?
Shawny: you ok?
Shawny: Avi?
Shawny: why are you ignoring me?
Etc.
I text him back this time (good girl)
Me: I'm not ignoring you ya goof! 😂 I've been spending all day with Chels, Nadia,Tori, Josh and Ian.
Shawny: oh good ok
Me: I'm at a sleepover rn so ttyl
Shawny: ok sweet dreams princess.

The next morning I get up and go home.
Shawn face times me.
"Helloooo!" He says.
"Hey" I say.
"Why so sad?" He asks.
I show him the magazine picture. And give him a 'bitch I know what you did' look. (A/N: I know what you did last summer! 🎼)

"Oh That's just an old friend." He says cracking his knuckles.
"Shawn I'm not mad. I'm your best friend not your girlfriend. You can tell me anything." I smile.
"Oh fine!" He sighs.
"We met on my last tour, she's a good friend." He says looking down.
"Shawn I..." I begin.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you!" He starts.
"Why aren't you wearing your necklace?" I ask.
"I am." He says pulling it out from under his shirt.
"I always wear it." He smiles.
"Aw. Me too." I blush.
"I love to keep it close to my heart." He says.
"You'll never be replaced." He says.
Those words stuck and It sinks into my thoughts.
