It was a week after I was at the mall and I had officially taken Kayla's advice. I had called Joey and I now had a gig scheduled at his pub for that Friday. I had also started writing some new songs. I was in the middle trying to finish the chorus of a song that was about my relationship with Calum.

"How'd we..." I drifted off in thought. Then I got a thought and quickly wrote it down. I smiled at the paper. I would figure out all the instrumentation later but I had a basic idea and the lyrics were finished.

I ran out to the living room where Michael and Ashton were watching some Disney show about a chick who's a nanny for some rich kids. They saw me and my huge smile and muted the show, looking up at me.

"What's up?" Michael asked.

"I wrote a song." I stated.

"You write a lot of songs, Lu, what's different about this one?" Ashton asked.

"I put my feelings into it." I said.

"Well let's hear it."

I looked down at my messy writing and started.

I slightly looked up, seeing them listening deeply.

I glanced up again. They had there eyes closed and were bobbing their heads to my voice.

I look up smiling hopefully. "Well?"

"That's my favourite one by far." Ashton grinned, getting up to hug me.

"Thanks!"

"Holy shit, Luke! That was amazing!" Michael exclaimed, joining us. "What's it called?"

"Castaway."
