"I can't do this." I pace beside the pristine white carriage in my white strapless dress, my hair arranged delicately on my head with my tiara.
"Yes you can Alli!" Sky reassures, stoping me in my tracks with one hand on my cheek and the other on my shoulder.
I sigh and quickly hug him, taking a deep breath.
"Better?"
"No." I sigh as he helps me into the carriage, the cheering loud even from here.
"But I will be when we get to go to the fair." That got a chuckle from my best friend as he gets up on the ledge designed for a guard at the back of the carriage, the twins sitting at the front with the driver.
Everyone was dressed in their parade uniform while I was dressed like a princess with heels and everything. Only sky knew that I had a pair of ripped jeans and my gun I took from him my first day back on an ankle holster.
A bag at my feet had the rest of my clothes and my friends.
Once everyone was set, I raised my hand as the signal, and the parade started. I was at the center for better protection with guards on either side walking other then the three that rode with me.
I sighed and took a deep breath before sitting up and plastering the 'royal' smile on my face, waving at my citizens as elegantly as possible.
I switched hands every so often as my arms got tired, my back aching from sitting so straight.
I hated crowds but as the next Queen I guess I had to get used to it.
We were nearing the end of the parade when gun shots rang out. "ALLI GET DOWN!" Sky yells as he hops over to sheild my body. Quickly I grab the t-shirt in my bag and pull it over my head, taking the time to shimmy out of my dress and grabbing my gun.
The crowd was in hysteria as they raced for safety.
"We need to get out of here." I say loudly now that Sky was close to me.
I knew the area I was in and I took off my heels and grab my flatts.
"No one knows this area." Mia said joining Sky.
"I do. I ran the streets as a kid." I say, giving them a glimps of my past before I was returned at the heir.
Lia gave me a surprised look and I just sighed.
"Sky its your call, we can blend into the crowd if you put on your shirts but we need to leave now while the crowd is thick."
"Okay, everyone change quick." The twins nodded and quickly took off most of their parade wear, looking more like civilians one again. The shots had come from my left so I would have to go right.
"Make sure the carriage gets back to the castle." Sky says to the scared driver who nodds in understanding.
Taking this as my que, I open the right door and crawl out, running directly into the allyway across from me.
The twins and Sky follow, all three of us with guns drawn.
Suddenly I hear some one curse behind me and I turn to glare at them
"Alli, your tiara." Lia points out and I curs as well, taking the flimsy metal and wrapping it around my arm, bending it till it looked like an arm band and hiding it under my short sleeve.
"Okay lets go."
I whisper. This was the same rout I had taken when I was captured by the police, but this time I was smart.
I knew that there was a tree house just before my old shack that we could hide out in and I made my way there.
"Hello Allisara."
I froze as three figures came out infront of me, my gun raised.
"Who are you?" I demand, the figures I come to learn are men.
"Friends of Juden." I bristle at the name of Trilavantas.
"We thought that today would be a great day to kill you. I mean you did leave us with out a job."
Sky pulled me behind him and I realised that they were the soldiers who were loyal to that traitor.
"Awe Sky, playing knight in shining armour? " one says tauntingly.
"Just protect this country's hope." He answeres briskly.
All three of my guards had their weapons drawn and waiting for the three to move.
"Well I guess that hope will die with you all then." Says the guy in the middle, raising his own gun.
He didn't get a chance to shoot us before my three friends had placed three precise bullets.
One in the head, the heart, and -guessing that was Lia's bullet- the groin.
The other two stared at their fallen friend and I took the oportunity to shoot the one who made the comment to Sky, shooting him in his chest, watching him fall, hiting the ground dead.
The other had apparently recovered by then and I felt something sharp graze my arm, pinging off of my tiara and hitting the wall beside me.
Sky shot him and all three were dead.
"Are you okay?" He turns around and looks at my arm, only a small bit of blood from the small graze.
"I'm fine, the tiara save me like you three." They all nodded and we continued running.
We were careful this time to check each corner we turned, making sure no one else was there.
I smiled when I saw the old oak tree, the treehouse hidden in its leaves.
"There." I gasped out, my breath coming in short pants from.running so much.
I scrambled up the tree first, showing the branches to use to get inside.
Now in the safety of the wooden area, I relaxed and leaned against the wall as Lia, Mia, and finally Sky joined me.
The twins stayed by the door as Sky sat beside me, pulling me to his side as we sat and caught our breaths.
"Every...one...okay?" I ask panting slightly.
They nodded.
"We need to stay here for tonight, make our way to the castle tomorrow." Sky says after a moment of silence.
"No, we wait till night fall then head to Liz and Ron's house." I correct. Sky stares at me and I smirk.
"You didn't notice the neighborhood I brought us too?"
He curses and makes his way to the small window and I smile knowing that he could see my adoptive grandparents house just across the street.
"The parade was broadcasted throughout the nation, they are probably worried sick. I was supposed to call them when I got back to the palace tonight."
Sky nodds and joins me again.
"Okay, we go with what Alli says." The twins nod and we wait for night to fall.
