I looked myself over in the one-eighty mirror.
I had a dress similar to the one I wore on the parade day but this one had off the shoulder sleeves that were two inches wide and had more of a Cinderella feel.
My hair was piled with a messy, curly updo with strands framing my face as usual. My make up was light and I had chandelier earings and a matching bracelet.
"Wow." I smile and turn around to see Sky in his tux looking at me from my closet door.
"I am so getting you a dictionary and thesaurus for your birthday." I say as I carefully step down from the platform and make my way towards him.
"Is everything ready for tonight?" I ask with worry in my voice.
"Yes, security is in place and your guests are arriving" he says then kisses my cheek gently. I smile as he straightens and looks at my bare neck.
"I have something that will go great with your outfit." He says and holds out a box.
"Sky you shouldn't have." I say with awe as he hands me the black box.
I open it to reveal a necklace made of white gold and diamonds.
"The big one has a traking device under it just in case." He says gently.
"Why? I never leave your side." I say letting take the necklace out and put it on me. The necklace was perfectly centered on me and rested just above my collar bone, the metal slightly cold as it touched my skin.
"I don't want to loose you again. But always know I will always find you." He whispers, pressing his lips delicately at the base of my neck and causing a shiver to run down my spine.
"Okay." I say, catching the word again from his statement.
He turns me towards the door and holds his arm out, letting me loop it through his and hold on tight.
"Ready?" He asks and I nod, letting him lead me out of my room and towards the ball.
We stoped infront of the double doors to the ball room and the guards informed us that everyone was here. After a few minutes I motioned for them to open the door before I changed my mind.
"Her royal highness, Princess Allisara DeLarosen and Captain Skylard BlackHawk of the Queen's guards." The announcer says and the room quiets down.
I smile and look at the crowd, spoting the Trilavantas family with people around them.
"Hello everyone. I have a few announcements to be made." I start off now that all eyes were on me and Sky.
"As you know the lands closest to this city have been taken into my posession and I have decided that not only is Skylard my loyal friend and captain, but as well as the newest duke." This seemed to cause questions in the croud and create unrest.
Slowly I rais my hand for them to be silent and turn to Sky.
"Now is time to hear what you plan to call it." I smile and he lookes at me with shock but happiness.
"Rosellie." He says and smiles.
"Thats where the most beautiful roses grown in the nation amd it deserves to be named after something beautiful."
"Its settled then. May I present the Duke of Rosellie."I say happily, motioning my hands like a magician at Sky.
"Now this is a celebration so lets enjoy this evening." With that the room became loud and filled with laughter as the nobles mingled. I went around and said hello to the nobles who were my age as well as those who had worked along side my parents.
Everyone but Dimitrias and his family looked happy to see me.
I had just told the country that his father was a traitor and split his lands in half and gave it to my...boyfriend.
That thought made me smile and I quickly found Sky with a group of girls surounding him.
I quickly become jealous and make my way to his side just as a girl was about to touch his arm.
"I've been looking everywhere for you." I sigh as I wrap my arm around his waist and rest my head on his shoulder, the courtesans giving me a glare.
"Sorry, I got cornered by these ladies." He says with an exasperated sigh as I feel his arms wrap around me and his lips press to mine.
I didn't care what everyone in the room saw, I was happy and thats all they should care about.
A waltz started playing and we pulled away, Sky taking my hand and kissing it gently.
"Shall we?" He asks and I giggle.
"We shall." I say, letting him lead me to the middle of the dance floor.
We danced around with each other in sync to the music. My worries melted as he twirled me around, the crowd watching us.
For the first song it was just me and him, but by the second Ron and Liz were waltzing with us.
Soon more people had joined and by the fourth song we were ready for a break, heading towards the refreshment table where I grab a bottle of sparkling water and down it in a few gulps.
"That was amazing." I say after grabbing my second bottle.
"You are amazing." Sky says, pulling me to his side.
I smiled but other young lords came up and asked me to dance and I knew I had to.
"Three dances with three other nobles and I am yours." I whisper to Sky while the three nobles wait for me.
"Go ahead Alli." He tucks a strand behind my ear and I go to dance.
The first guy had roaming hands and I slaped him in the face half way through the song and walked away.
The second guy I swore had two left feet and if I didn't lead I would probably be limping.
The third guy was a gentle man and knew how to dance at least.
By the time the song ended I was thanking him and turned to make my way towards Sky when the lights flickered and screams could be heard.
"ALLI WHERE ARE YOU?" Sky's voice rang out clear and I fought the crowd to make my way towards him when I felt a sharp prick on my arm. The darkness started to spin and I became dizzy as the world felt like is was falling closer to me and I landed against something.
"I have her lets go." A voice says before I faded into unconsciousness.
