The first day I had spent roving around the city in search of informed vampires, sadly many of them weren't talking. The night had quickly passed and a new sun sat perched on the horizon as I sat on top one of the skyscrapers peaks. Even with my powers I was struggling to think of anything useful. Why did the vampires believe Maria had the grimoire? Was I missing something obvious?
"What am I missing?" I grumbled. Every vampire I knew of was claiming innocence and information was unbelievably scarce. As if on cue my phone rang. Pulling it out I looked at the ID. Ritsuka was calling.
"Hello Ritsuka. Where are you? Are you alright?" I called into the phone. I waited with bated breath to hear her voice, to know that she was safe.
"Lily, It's good to hear from you. I'm fine but worried about mom, who would've taken her" she replied, her voice crackling through the speaker.
" You're with Azuna, right?" I said into the phone. Standing up I began pacing along the roof, my eyes trained on the distant corners of the city.
"No, I'm with my school's student council president. He's agreed to help me find mom" she said. Instantly I froze. She was supposed to be with Azuna, her friend and exorcist. If Ritsuka needed protection Azuna would be able to supply it. Who the hell was this student council president?
"When are you meeting Azuna?"
"At school, don't worry. I've got to go but thanks for talking with me" she said into the phone.
"Wh.." I went to stop her but she hung up on me. I stared at the phone as the words 'call ended' marked the screen.
"Dammit" I growled. I was so annoyed, everything supernatural was intent on messing up my life. Putting the phone away I looked at the city. In a few hours I had to go get Lindo and so far I knew barely anything. What if he was disappointed?
The only thing I could do now was guard Ritsuka and hope something showed its face. Teleporting through the city I settled at Ritsuka's school. It was a fancy looking place, with brilliant architecture and expansive gardens. If I gave a damn about my education I would have wanted to have come to a place like this. It was early so the place was empty, the sky slowly brightening the empty grounds. Walking around I looked for a nice place to watch the entrance without being spotted. I see a tall tree to the western side of the front entrance.
"Perfect" I say. Walking forward I leap up into the tree, landing onto one of the branches, small needles swishing against my skin. I settled against the trunk, my figure concealed by the needle laden branches that cast an array of shadows onto my form.

It took some time for the students to start arriving. I watched as boys and girls filed into the school. Some loitered around the entrance, clearly waiting on people. Everything seemed normal, no strange scents, no abnormal behaviours, they all seemed perfectly normal to me. Watching, a familiar face finally arrived, Azuna. Reaching into my pocket I pull out my phone and rang her phone. She picked up on the second ring.
"Hello?"
"Azuna, what's happening?" I asked. I watched as she stopped walking and stared at the school.
"Ritsuka never came over. She was picked  up by the student council president" she said. "I'm at the school waiting for her" she continued.
"I know. I'm here as well. Listen I'm going to keep an eye out and see if anyone at school is a threat. You won't see me but I'll call you if I pick up on anything" I tell her. Before she can reply I hang up. I need to focus on the crowds of students arriving.
I study every face, my mind whirring in the process of identifying them. All scents seemed alright, besides the odd person who clearly hadn't put on enough deodorant.
Then I see a fancy car pull up. Whoever was in it clearly had status. The door opened and a blonde head appeared; the boy stepped out the car and was followed by none other than Ritsuka. I watched as the blonde turned allowing me to see his face. It was at this moment the wind picked up, allowing me to get a whiff of their scents. Immediately it clicked, this person was a demon. I nearly fell out of the tree when the realisation hit; I knew this devil.
"Shit" was all I could say. This devil was Rem Arlond, prince to the devil world. His father had been the one to kill my father for the position of King. I had known him very well when I had lived in the devil realm, he was one of my expected suitors. He had grown and still wore the same somber expression he had as a kid. This was trouble, if he was here there was surely others. I teleported, my instincts telling me it was the only reasonable solution. I had to find Lindo and tell him who his sister was hanging out with.

I appeared in the living room of Lindo and I's apartment. I found him packing his gear into a bag, It had only been a day since I last saw him but already I could see the stress wearing away at him. When it came to Ritsuka's safety he would go to any length.
"Lindo, we have a problem" I state. He whirls around, clearly startled by my entry. Faint shadows were under his eyes, he hadn't slept.
"What's wrong? Is it Ritsuka, is she okay?" He stammers.
"She's hanging out with demons. I don't think she has any clue as to what they are, but they have infiltrated the school" I state. His eyes widen, his entire demeanour changing. He looked angry, his fists clenching slightly as he shook slightly.
"They won't get her" he growled.
"We won't let them. Now pack your things; the sooner we get back, the sooner we can get her away from those Devils" I stated.
