A year, thats how long it's been since I left the devil realm. One year of complete, utter freedom. I was still adapting to this world, it was a very different place. I still used my powers, I needed to if I wanted to eat souls. It was harder for me to get any other form of sustenance. I could only get money from my victims, and I tried to keep the kill list to a minimum, lest I attract attention; I didn't want other devils to find me, or an exorcist. All the money I got I was saving, hoping to earn enough to buy an apartment. I could easily rob a place, but that just seemed like a way of drawing attention to myself. I was in London at present, searching through the streets for a place to rest. I was hungry and the smell of humans did little to ease the ache. Finding a courtyard, I sat down near a fountain. People looked at me strangely, I could understand why though, humans thought it was weird for a child to be on its own. I watched the strangers glances. They were such fickle creatures.
"Hey, what are you doing?"a voice asks from my left. I look to see a boy, close to my age. He was smiling and had a shimmering glint in his blue eyes, he had deep red hair that brushed his forehead.
"watching" I reply, studying the other child. He smelt funny, not like the other humans.
"That sounds boring. Anyway, its nice to meet you, my names Lindo" he said. He held out his hand, I looked at it hesitantly before shaking it.
"I'm Lily" I reply. It feels weird using my nickname as a real name, but then again I don't think Lilth would go down well. The boy nodded, uttering the word under his breath to register it.
"What are you doing here?" I ask. Most humans didn't talk to me, so it was wise to query.
"I'm visiting England for some training." he replied proudly.
"what about you?" he said. I felt uncomfortable as soon as he asked the question. I turned away and looked at the ground.
"What is it?" He asked worriedly.
"Nothing" I replied.
"You don't have to hide it. Is it your parents? have you lost them?" He asked, concern evident in his tone. I shook my head, why was he being nice? The only people that were nice to me was the other devils, and that was because the wanted me as a potential bride to their family's heir.
"I don't have any parents. I'm on my own" I say, my voice a bare whisper. I'll admit its been lonely, I haven't had a friend  for over a year. I felt something warm on my shoulder and look to see his small hand on my coat and he's giving me a faint smile.
"That's okay. I'll help you" He said. I stared back with wide eyes. I couldn't help the sudden sensation that overcame me, a feeling I had never felt before. I hugged him, a warm sensation pressing in my chest.
"Thank You" I said. I felt his arms wrap around me, sending warmth through his black jacket.
"No worries" He mutters.
"Lindo" An irritated voice shouts. We both let go and look in the direction. Instantly my heart plummets, the person looking for my friend was a priest, not just that but also an exorcist. I froze, my heart beating rapidly, I could run and teleport but that would mean leaving my only chance at a friend. I watch the exorcist as he approaches, h seems like a young exorcist, relatively new to the gig. Probably the age of 19. He ignores me and stops in front of Lindo.
"What do you think you're doing? Running of when I'm not looking" He shouts angrily. I glare at the priest, power buzzing in the back of my head.
"Sorry Brother Harrison, but I have a good" reason Lindo says "This is Lily, she's been abandoned" he said gesturing to me. I look at the priest with wide eyes, trying to look as human as possible. The priests expression softens as he looks at me. This exorcist isn't to good at his job if he can't identify an underworld creature, then again I'm very good at controlling my powers. The priest knelt down in front of me. I could feel the pulse coming from his cross, it was irritating but I ignored it.
"Where are your parents?" the priest asked. He was trying to be nice, probably seeing me as a helpless child.
"They're gone, I've been on my own for a year now" I said, my voice quaking like a human child's would when upset, I summoned up tears.
"Oh, don't cry" the priest said. I blinked back the tears and looked at the ground.
"I said I would help her" Lindo replied, putting his hand on my shoulder again. The priest sighed.
"you're heading back home in a few hours Lindo, now isn't the time to be making promises to people" the priest said.
"I'll take her back with me!" Lindo exclaimed. I perked at that statement. I could leave with him. That sounds perfect, I wanted to spend more time with Lindo.
"I would like that" I say. The priest stands up, looking flustered.
"It's agreed then, Lily's coming with me" Lindo said.

The conversation that follows between the priest and Lindo is confusing but finally it's agreed I was going with Lindo. We walk to a black car and I'm soon sitting inside next to Lindo as we head towards the airport. I've never been on a plane before, its supposed to be pretty boring I've heard. I have my bag pack sitting on my lap as I glance at Lindo. I have this weird feeling in my chest, like my heart was glowing.
"So where are we going?" I ask. Lindo smiles brightly, his eyes sparkling. My heart squeezes and I realise instantly what's happening; I liked him. I wanted him to be mine, to love me like I loved him. My cheeks suddenly went red at the realisation. He was rambling about his home town but at my change in reaction, he stopped.
"Are you okay? you look a little flustered; have you got a cold?" He asks. Before I could reply, the boy I'm looking at leans over and presses his hand o my forehead. I lose all words at the action.
"You do feel a little warm" he says. My mind is racing as my heart goes into overdrive.
"I'm fine." I manage to choke out. I press backwards into the seat to put a little distance between us. He looks at me weirdly before sitting back in his chair.
"So what's in the bag pack?"
The question, is unnerving. I couldn't exactly say a couple of demon artefacts and the items of the people I had killed; that subject would put a stopper in any interspecies friendship.
"uhhh, just some objects that belonged to my parents" I reply. It was a half decent lie.
"Oh, sorry for asking...... I can't wait for you to meet my family. My little sister's going to love you" He says, excitement evident in his voice.
"You really love your sister, don't you?" I ask
"Yeah, I do" he replys
