By the time I got home from work Jennifer and Jade were gone. Jade was both surprised and happy that Sean was willing to be involved. I was actually pretty shocked myself. He didn't seem like the type of person who was ready for that kind of responsibility and commitment, but then again, neither did Jade. It made sense that they wouldn't rush into anything considering the fact that they were nothing more than acquaintances at the moment.

She promised me that she would tell Luke first thing tomorrow morning, because he worked today and she didn't want to ruin the plans he had with his family later tonight.

I took the elevator up to my room, exhausted. Why was I so tired?

I decided to lay down on the couch and watch TV, something I hadn't done this in a while. Life was busy. Work, Dante, Jade, my mom. I was supposed to go on the cruise with her in a week but I really wasn't in the mood.

It probably would've been a good way to distract myself but I didn't want to go. My mother has been seeing someone that she met on the online dating website. Apparently she invited him to go. That was another reason why I'd rather stay home.

She sounded disappointed over the phone, but we didn't fight. I was tired of feeling guilty, the amount of times that she disappointed me was nothing compared to this one boat trip. "Maybe we'll do something this summer." I offered.

Just as I began to doze off, I heard a knock on my door. I tried to ignore it, but it was followed by another knock, so I reluctantly stood up and made my way to the door.

"Hey." Dante said. Dante. Dante was actually here.

"Oh hi." I wasn't expecting this. "W-what's up?"

"I think I left a pair of jeans here. It has one of my credit cards in them." He explained.

It took everything in me not to go off on him. How was he so casual, his balls must've grew because he had some nerve showing up at my door for a damn pair of pants.

"Yeah. They're in the bathroom." I stepped aside so he could walk in. Maybe this was just an excuse for him to come to me. It had to be. So I sat down on one of the chairs in the kitchen, waiting for him to get his jeans.

What the hell was taking him so long? The jeans were on the counter. You pick them up and walk out. That's all there was to it.

"Skyla?" He asked walking out of the bathroom.

I popped my head up. "What?"

"A-are you...?"

"Am I what?" I had no idea why he had that look on his face. Like the world was about to end.

"Pregnant?" He choked out.

I was still half asleep and asked, "Huh?"

"There's three test in the bathroom." He held up one of the positive ones.

Of course Jade had to leave the test in my bathroom. Of course Dante decided to come over today. "No. No I'm not pregnant." I said trying to reassure him. I saw the color slowly return to his face.

"Then whose are they?"

"Jade." I said. "You didn't know?"

"How would I–" His eyes widened. "Sean?"

"Yeah." I nodded my head.

"Wow." Was all he said. I was actually surprised that he didn't know yet. We just stood there looking at each other. I was waiting for him to speak. Dante was the one who needed to talk. "Well, I'll go."
