I can't believe that I'm almost finished with this book!!! Almost, not quite. Anyways I just wanted to apologize in advance for a few things. Number one, I'm so so so sorry for another cliff hanger. And two, I'm so so sorry that this chapter is so short.

I was going to leave the hotel and stay with my dad for a while. Jade and I seemed to be on the phone twenty four hours a day.

I hadn't seen much of her but we did talk a lot. I know she's seen Dante at the hospital, but we didn't talk about him. I haven't seen him once since we officially broke up.

The plan was to check out tomorrow morning. Tonight I was going to pack up the rest of my things. Once again I was on the phone with Jade. She was on speaker.

"So you'll come with me to my appointment, right?" She asked.

"Yeah. Just tell me when it is." This was the first time Jade was going to the hospital for the baby. Sean obviously couldn't go, so I agreed to accompany her.

We weren't really talking about much, we just needed the company. I heard something fall in the other room. Jade continued to talk, but I wasn't really listening anymore. Someone was in here. Not again. I kept thinking.

It was Nick. Nick?

I would've just walked out there and said hi, but there were a few things that stopped me. One was the fact that he had broken in. He didn't casually knock on the door. He snuck in.

The other thing that threw me off was the bulge in his coat pocket. A gun? I wouldn't be surprised after everything I've gone through the last couple of weeks. Nick was the man Dante was hiding from. The man Silvio was hiding from. I should be hiding too. I used to trust him but not anymore.

I quietly made my way into the bathroom and locked the door behind me. All the lights were off, but I kept Jade on the phone. I lowered the volume as low as it would go.

"Nick." I whispered as quietly as possible. "He's here. I need help."

"What! What are talking about? Where are you?"

I didn't have time to respond. The bathroom door flew open. Nick's silhouette was terrifying. It was just like a movie. The murderer standing in front of their victim with a knife or some kind of weapon in their hand.

In this case it was a gun.

I screamed involuntarily as the door swung open. Nick just looked at me. "Skyla!" I heard Jade call over the phone. "What's happening?"

Nick kept walking towards me. I was trapped. "W-what do you want?" I stuttered.

"You're coming with me." He came closer. I didn't recognize his voice. It was scary.

"Nick what are you–" He tried to grab me. I backed up further into the wall.

"Silvio killed my family." Nick breathe. "He killed every single one of them, and now it's my turn to do the same." This man was crazy. He had officially lost it.

"I'm not Silvio's family." I needed to keep talking. I needed to stall him.

"Dante is. It's a trap–" He stopped talking. "I don't need to explain myself to you. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. It's your choice."

I grabbed the closest thing I could find. It was the white thing you used to clean the toilet. I used it to hit him on the head. Nick barely even flinched. He grabbed it out of my hands and threw it on the floor.

This time he decided to close the space between us. I kneed him hard in the balls then ran out of the bathroom.

There was only one small problem. Another man stood in my hotel room, blocking the door.

Nick couldn't hurt me. I saw it in his eyes. This man on the other hand couldn't care less.

He slapped me so hard that I fell to the floor. Maybe it was a punch, because my vision turned cloudy.

I screamed as he stepped toward me. "Screaming brings too much attention." He said. I didn't care what it did. I screamed again and again and again. I saw the gun being pointed at me. It was the same kind of gun that Nick held.

I screamed again, hoping someone would help me. "Do it." I heard Nick say.

Then everything went black.
