Chapter Seven

Adam ran fast, determined to save his friends. However, you weren't all that fast whenever you ran, and added to that, you didn't have all that good stamina.

So the running throughout this whole trip sucked.

But after all, you were saving your new friends, an you had to put an end to this "Trapped in a Game" stuff, which was highly annoying. All you just hoped for was that this was all a dream, or if it isn't, you would have a stereotypical good ending, where everything was okay. Not to mention that the sword you received was heavy, but at least you had some protection. That's good!

You two have been climbing up three  long flights of stairs, and it looked like there was one more waiting. Adam looked over at you, realizing you had never talked to each other since you started running.

"You doing okay, (Y/N)?" Adam asked.

"Huh?" You said. "Oh, yeah, how about you?"

"Doing fine, but you look like you're about to pass out."

"Yeah, I'm not all that athletic though," you said as you looked toward the floor. Suddenly you felt something grab your shirt from behind you, You turned around and saw a deep green zombie. You didn't make a noise when you sliced him to bits with your sword, but Adam already knew what was going on.

After all, there was a whole horde of them right in front of him, ready to fight.

"You okay?" Adam asked you, pulling out his shining iron sword.

"Yeah," you replied as you walked up next to him. You noticed that the horde wasn't as big as it was when you all spawned into the game, but it was large. The were guarding the last set of stairs, leading to large, black doors. You assumed the mastermind of this "game" was behind there, wondering what to do with Jess and Ross. You wondered if they were still alive...

No, you shook off the thought of losing them, you will save them. And the first thing you have to do is to defeat the group of zombies.

"Ready?" Adam said, pulling up his sword, and placing his right foot forward, ready to charge. You did the same, and smiled.

"Ready." And with that single word the two of you charged at the crowd, slicing the zombies up into pieces. It didn't take long, the diamond sword was very effective (as usual), and Adam's iron sword did only a little less damage, which was still good.

After slaying the crowd, you two both walked up the last set of stairs. Before opening the doors you both took a deep breath, getting ready for facing the ruler of this world. Adam then walked up and placed his hand on the door handle. You held the handle of your sword tight, and walked up closer to the door.

Adam finally pushed the door open not too slow, but not too fast either. It was a large white room, with a tall, dark-colored chair in the middle of it. And sitting there was the man from the very beginning. The one who you four followed and got you here. The man who set this all up (If you are confused, go back to Chapter Three, he is mentioned there.). He looked up at you and Adam, smiling.

"Welcome," he said calmly.

"Where's Jess and Ross?" Adam asked, trying to get this done and over with as quick as he can.

"Cutting to the chase, I see," he said as he walked over to the empty space to the right of him. He inputted some commands in the World Chat, and suddenly, Jess and Ross where there, on the floor, chained up to a thick metal pole. You suddenly felt a rush of relief, now knowing that they were safe.

"But you can only have them on one condition," the man said turning around to you and Adam.

"And that is?" You asked.

"To defeat me. Just and two versus one battle, but I'll have you know, no one has ever defeated me," he said, smiling.

"Alright then," you said pointing the tip of the shining diamond sword toward the man. Adam smiled then and did the same. You looked over at each other and them back at the man.

"We'll be the first."

Hello! I know haven't been writing anything lately, I have been busy, but I'll try to get another chapter in by Wednesday. Also, speaking of chapters, this story is almost over! I'm planning for two more chapters - the fight and the aftermath. So yeah! That will mean I will have finished my first project! So, with that being said, I am open for requests for future X-Reader-Type projects. So if you have an idea, please tell me!
