Throughout the rest of the day, I hadn’t seen Dezmin. He wasn’t in any three of my classes. I looked everywhere I went, but still no sign of him. By the time school was over I had given up on seeing him. I walked across the school grounds and into the school parking lot, saying hi and bye to the people I knew, but kept walking to my 2010 Eclipse. The second I stuck my key in the door I felt someone behind me and looked up into the car window. It was him, Dezmin, standing behind me with that brilliant cocky smile.

“Hi.” Dezmin crooned. His voice was smooth as velvet and a little husky at the same time. It stole my breath away.

I stared at him a little while longer in my car window and finally turned around to see that cocky smile.

“Hi.” I stated. I didn’t know what to say.

“I’m Dezmin, sorry I didn’t get the chance to introduce myself this morning.” he said.

“Nice to meet you Dezmin, I’m Skie.” I introduced.

“I know,” he crooned “so is there anything fun in this small town to do.” I wasn’t that much into going a lot of places; only places that Dominic took me or wanted to go.

“Of course there are places to go around here,” I said “you just have to find them.”

“She’s right,” Izbel said smiling as she walked up to us, “there are things to do here in this town, and just so happen, a couple of friends and I are headed out to Creepy Blood Woods this Sunday. You should come?”

Izbel leaned on my car with that smile that blew guys away. She seems to be looking at something she wanted. I hope she wasn’t looking at Dezmin, wanting him. Dezmin looked at her as if he didn’t know what she was thinking.

“Dezmin, this is my sister Izbel, Izbel this is Dezmin. He just came to the school, so don’t scare him off.” I informed. Izbel glanced over at me as if she wanted to slap me. I thought it was funny more than anything. That’s not the first time she gave me that dirty look.

“Are you going Skie?” Dezmin asked me.

“Of course she is going,” Izbel interrupted “she wouldn’t miss it.” I couldn’t help, but give my sister the same look like I wanted to slap her. I got angrier then I should have been, but Izbel still shouldn’t have said I was going; answering for me. I wanted to slap her and her smile.

“Still thinking,” I said, still starring at Izbel “I got to go.” By the time I had finished my sentence I was already opening my car door and getting in, but instead of closing my door, Dezmin had grabbed it. He stood in my door way starring at me and smiling his cocky smile.

“It was nice meeting you Skie.” Dezmin crooned, he shut my door lightly, and walked away. I watched him walk away, I couldn’t help, but watch the way he moved, he moved like he had muscles in places that most humans didn’t. His stance was strong and powerful; one of those stance that demanded your attention, it was more sexy then anything. His brother was sitting on a shiny red Mustang about five cars down from me, surrounding him was a bunch of overzealous girls. Dezmin got in the driver seat and called to his brother to get. He drove off without a second look behind him. Izbel had walked off already. On my long ride home all I could think about was Dezmin. What was he doing and was he thinking about me? Why was he acting that way he was? One second he seems to like me and then the next he completely went the opposite way. I drove up into my winding driveway next to my mother’s blue Accord. In front of my car was a Cadillac Escalade EXT. My dad wanted to get rid of his old Ford F-150, but I didn’t think it would be so soon. He upgraded big time. As I walked up to my front door I could hear angry voices, before I even got that close to the door I could exactly hear that they were massively piss. I stood outside the front door and could hear my father yelling.

“I know what you told us, she is fine and she isn’t going anywhere with you.” I heard my father yell. I didn’t know who or what he was talking about, but I was curious so I put my ear to the door and listened harder. I heard even better, like it magnified by one hundred.

“She isn’t fine; she is changing and changing very soon. You all will not be able to handle her, nor will you be safe. You all were lucky I was around when Izbel turned. Your luck might run out this time.” said a husky manly voice. I didn’t recognize the voice, I didn’t know what was going on. This man that my parents are talking to said that Izbel turned, turned into what?  She has always been a snob, maybe into a bigger snob.

“She is not going with you, Caleb.” My mother yelled. She never raised her voice, even when she was upset, so my mom must be really piss.

“We have company.” Caleb, the husky unrecognizable voice said. All of a sudden the door opened. The good thing was I didn’t fall on my face; the bad thing was I fell into really strong muscular arms. I glanced up into blue Siberian husky eyes. The guy that the eyes belonged to was a handsome older man, about the age of 45,he had long straight black hair, full lips, and all together handsome face. He put me on my feet and closed the door.

“Hello, Skie.” Caleb said. His voice was very deep.

“Hi,” I said a bit dazed “Do I know you?” He chuckled a little and glanced down for second, but when he looked back up at me he seemed sure of his answer.

“Maybe,” he said starring at me “Do you know me?” I did know him; I just didn’t know how I knew him. I felt like I seen him or knew him before this, but couldn’t distinguish where.

“She said she didn’t know you, Caleb.” My father growled. Why was my father so mad? I couldn’t figure out why, but the anger that was radiating off of him was going toward this stranger in my house. I decided to lighten the mood, because Caleb looked annoyed by my fathers’ comment.

“You have beautiful eyes,” I laugh “very strange, but unique.”

“As do you,” Caleb said “Miss Mohondaz.” I laughed at our little joke.

“Would you like something cold to drink, Mr…,” I stopped “I don’t know what I should call you. I think it would be pretty rude to call you Caleb.”

“Caleb, is late for something sweet heart,” dad crooned, he was smiling, but it wasn’t a genuine smile. He was trying to get Caleb out. “We don’t want to waste anymore of his precious time. Let him go.” I through a dirty look at my father. My anger was rising; it was coming from deep inside and ready to pour out. I swallowed it, because wherever it came from it needed to go back, it was too much anger. I couldn’t see why my dad hated Caleb. Caleb seemed so sweet.

“Your right, Toney, I must go, I have pressing matters that need attention,” he smiled “You may call me Caleb and Skie do not get angry on my accord. Also, thank you for offering the drink, but I must go.” I turned around to open the door.

“Good bye.” stated my father. As Caleb walked out the door he turned around and got something out of his pocket. He brought it to the light and it was a Carolina jasmine. I couldn’t take my eyes off of the magnificent yellow flower. They were everywhere, but every time I seen one, I smelled it, but never picked it. I didn’t pick the jasmines because I thought they were too beautiful to pick.

“This beautiful flower is for you, Skie,” Caleb stated placing the flower in my hand “It poses more than just beauty, take care of it, it will give you comfort when you need it.”

“Thank you Caleb.” I said. I smell it and the fragrance was amazing. I could smell the beautiful fragrance of jasmines always. When I looked up from the flower Caleb was already in his truck pulling off. I didn’t even hear him walking away; he was as silent as a ghost. I watch the stranger drive away. Something in me was heartbroken in seeing him go away. I felt like I should be with him or I was supposed to be by his side. Instead I went upstairs and put the flower in a vase.
