I spotted Izbel on her bed, sprawled out, and reading a magazine. She glanced up at me with a grimace, sitting up slowly. She was wearing jean shorts and a sports bra. The tattoo sat visibly under her rib cage. I never saw the tattoo until today in the woods, I figured it was because Izbel was hiding it. She never wore anything that exposed her stomach, not even a two piece bathing suit, though she had a rocking body for it. I remember buying her a two piece last year. It was gorgeous and she loved it, she wore it every time we went to the local swimming pool. Then out of nowhere she stopped wearing it, I never saw it again. I had asked her why she stopped wearing it and her reply was ‘was it against the law’. I guess this was the perfect time to get some answers.

“Remember when I brought you that silver and pink two piece bathing suit? Why did you stop wearing it?” I asked.

“What?” she asked, her face was full of shock, eyebrows pulling together as she starred at me.

“Why did you stop wearing it? Because when I brought it, you didn’t have that tattoo.”

“No, I didn’t have it then,” she said, she shook her head looking up at me from her position on the bed. Her statement continued to bounce in my mind as I thought about it.

“Then why did you…because the tattoo appeared out of nowhere like mines. Didn’t it, Izbel?” I stated, watching her reactions. She starred at me with a smile that wasn’t joyful. She slowly nodded her head.

“Dezmin was right when he said that you, Morgan, and the guys went through whatever it is that I’m going through,” I said. Something bright yellow caught my eye. I glanced up to see about three jasmines tied in a bow in the top corner of the room. I glanced around the room to see they were in every corner. The flowers were magnificent, instantly I could smell the beautiful fragrance that flowed throughout the room. I thought of the flower that Caleb gave me, it was still in the vase that I put it in when I meant him.

“Yep…so…Why are you in here, Skye? I know t wasn’t to discuss my nonexistence wearing of the bathing suit. What do you want?” I tore my eyes away from the pull of the flowers, they felt entrancing. My eyes landed on my sister’s quizzing face. Why was I in here? Oh…right.

“I needed a hiding spot away from mom and dad,” I answered, I shrugged my shoulders. My parent’s conversation popped in my head and so did the picture of my aunt LeAnna. My grasp on the black picture frame tighten, just to remind myself it was still there. I walked toward Izbel, leaving the closed door at my back. I planted myself next to my sister, laying the picture in between us. She starred at the picture never looking away, until I finally broke her concentration.

“What?” I asked, watching her moves. She glanced up at me slowly, eyes shining bright as tears began to form. It appeared that today was a crying day for the females in my family.

“What do you mean ‘what’? That’s…Aunt LeAnna. Why do you have this, anyways?” she lowered her face, the glistering tears traveling down her tan face. Her fingers traveling down my aunt’s figure.

“I heard mom and dad talking downstairs. And she popped in the conversation,” I answered. I felt as if I should comfort my sister, I really wanted to, but what if she was still piss about what I said to her in the truck. I figured it would be okay after I seen the tears slowly coming to a stop, she wiped at the remaining of them before she gazed up at me.
