Chapter 17: Work

*Hayes's POV*

"BABE!" Kayla yelled from her room. "Yea." I said walking in. "Have you seen my camera anywhere?" She asked looking through her draws. "Yea it's in my room." I said walking to my room. "Alright when you get it I have to go." "But you can't drive." "True so can you drive me?" She asked. "Yes of course." I said handing her the camera. "I better see these pictures when you get home." I said driving. "You will." She said getting out. "Love you." "Love you too babe." She said and shut the door. I drove home and stopped to get some dog stuff. I walked into the store and people looked at me.

"What's up." I said walking over to the dog food section. I picked up a really big bag for Duff and Zan and then got some kitty food. I waited in line behind a pregnant lady with her teenage daughter. What if Kayla got pregnant with my kid? I would obviously stay. I want to marry her. "Sir your next." The lady behind me said. "Yea." I said and put my stuff down. I'm going to marry Kayla. I'm going to marry her. I paid and left.

I got home and put the dog food in the cabinet. I sat on the counter and called my mom.

Mom❤️: Hey hayes what's up?
Me: I have a question
Mom: what is it?
Me: Okay so I feel like Kayla is the one I'm going to spend the rest of my life with and I want to know like what age should I propose to her?
Mom: Well, Hayes here's the thing you guys are what 20?
Me: yea
Mom: Wait till she's like 30.
Me: Mom that's so long
Mom: Hayes your not ready for marriage yet
Me: Mom what if we had a kid while still dating?
Mom: DID YOU GET HER PREGNANT!
Me: no no no I was just wondering
Mom: The longer you wait the better the marriage

She hung up and I got down. "Zan what should we get Kayla for Valentine's Day next week?" I asked sitting on the couch. "That's sound like a good idea. Flowers and chocolate." I said. "And for her birthday?" "That's sounds good too. A new camera." I sat on the couch till she called me.

Girlfriend❤️: Im ready!
Me: okay I'm coming

I drove to her work and she had a bag with her. "What's in the bag?" I asked. "Something for you that I can't give you till the 14th." She said and I drove home. "Okay so I'll show you the pictures and then I have to do other work." She said and I frowned. "Okay." I said parking in our spot. "Oh and I got paid today." She said getting out. "I get paid tomorrow." I said locking the car. "All you do is youtube and you get paid for that?" She asked. "Yea." I said and she opened the door. "Hi Duff where's Alice?" She asked. "She's been in your room." I said and she put her camera down and grabbed the kitty.

"What's wrong Hayes?" She asked. "Nothing." I said and took the kitty. "Okay so come here." She said downloading the pictures. I sat next to her and she opened the file. "Can I see all of them?" I asked. "Yea." She said and started from the beginning. "Oh that's me." I said smiling. "Yep." She showed me more and I looked at her. "Do you want to go on a date with me?" I asked her. "Do you even have to ask?" She asked smiling at me. "No but I want to be like how I was when I was 15 askin you on dates." I said and she kissed me. "A date would sound nice." She said saving her pictures.

"Hey how come there aren't any of you?" I asked. "Hayes I'm the one who takes the pictures." She said. "Can I take a picture?" I asked holding her camera. "Yea while I am in the shower just take pictures of whatever." She said going to her bathroom. I laid in my bed where Zan was and I took a picture. (Picture at beginning) I took more pictures and she came out drying her hair with a towel. "Wanna see them?" I asked and she sat next to me. "That's a good one."
