The Nights Gift

Trained

Soon the sun went up again and Sunny was gone again. The pup woke up along with Quack and Lightning. They looked at the small pup and saw how small he was, then they looked at each other. Lightning was the first to speck breaking the silence. "Okay pup your small for a pup your age, so me and Quack decided to take it into our own paws. We are going to train you to get bigger and stronger." When he finished the others were awake and they agreed to train him also in their special ways. He nods and jumps up ready to train. They all look at each other and then the pup. "Who do what start with?" Lightning asked Nightstar. He looked between the seven wolfs present and chased his tail when he stopped he was looking at Quack. "Okay we will split this into a two days, for first day training. Quack will go first then Pines, Current, and ending the first day Constellation, and the second day will begin with me, then Anubis and New M will end it everyone good with the order?" Everyone nods.

"Okay we'll work on your jumping skill okay?" Quack asked the pup as they were in the mountains far from the forest and cave he knew, he gulped and nods. What they didn't know was that a gray wolf with blue eyes was standing down wind from the both of them. Hmm isn't that the pup from before well looks like the pup murderer V  didn't get him. He smiles and continues to watch. "Okay so there are ditches different sizes I want you to jump them." 

"But what if i fall in?" Nightstar asked concerned for his safety.

"Don't worry they have leaves and moss at the bottom for a safe landing and they aren't that deep. So you will be fine also I want you to jump the same one ten times before moving on." He says then he walks away and sits in the bushes close to where the gray wolf was eep lets hope the wind doesn't shift. He shrunk in size to hide his scent better. Then Nightstar started to jump the ditches he made it past the first few ditches then came the big one. He breathed and backed up, then he turned around and charged at the ditch. He jumped and it was if time slowed down just for him. As he was in the air his fur sparkled in the sun and his eyes glowed while his form looked bigger then he actually did. When he landed he looked around with a smile on his face "I did it, I did it" he then did it ten more times each time faster and less room to prepare for the jump. When he landed he spun and jumped landing on the other side. "Done" he says wow he's a fast learner and quick. I might want to observe the pup longer. 

"Good job, now jump this." He placed his paw on the ground and some feet away a hole opened up it was wider then the last hole. Nightstar smiled then took off and jumped the gap in the earth in one fail swoop. "Wow well color me impressed" He smiles "well I guess its to the next part with you." Nightstar nods and heads towards the forest, the gray wolf following at a distance 

Then the pup met with Pines. "Welcome to the second part of training day one balance. okay so you will stand on that rock and I will try to make you fall. Sounds fun right?" Nightstar shakes his head as Pines chuckles. "Well I find it fun. okay go on the rock over there." He points to a rock with his paw and Nightstar goes to the rock. When hes fully on a wind blew knocking him off. "Wow even the wind can beat you" he shakes his head. Nightstar gets back up and climes the rock and looked at the forest pelted wolf with a fiery expression in his eyes.

"I'm ready" he said bracing himself for anything. I wont disappoint you again. He continued to stand there as the wind blew fiercely trying to push him off but he stayed strong. Wow he got serous fast, but where did this wind come from?  He continued to stay hidden as Nightstar continued to stand there as the moon started to reach the high part of the sky, a rock flew in his direction and hit him in the muzzle. He yipped but continued to stand there. As tears fell from the pain the wind stopped. He looked up and saw Pines standing there he licked the little pups tears and muzzle.

"I'll talk to Current and see if his training can be moved to tomorrow. So you'll only have one more training lesson today and your wound can heal okay?" He asked as he finished licking the small pup he nods. "Okay stay here and Constellation will come to find you." Nightstar sits down, Pines snickers and bounds away.

Here's my chance out of the shadows the gray wolf walks up to the pup. "Hello little pup how are you doing?" Nightstar looks up into his blue eyes.

"I'm fine i'm just waiting." He says

"Waiting for who?" He questioned sitting near the little pup.

"Oh a family member." He said looking up at the stars which made his pelt sparkle. Wow what do i say now. 

"My names Mike." He said looking at the sparkling pup.

"Nightstar" he said never taking his eyes of the stars as he annualized them. 

"Hm?" Mike asked confused.

"That's my name Nightstar" he looked at Mike and he could see the sparkle in the pups eyes. Wow then Constellation comes.

"Nightstar lets go you already learned my lesson which was to analyze the stars. Now we need to go home so you can rest and let that wound heal." He starts to walk away.

"Coming, bye Mike it was nice seeing you again." He gets off the rock and catches up to Constellation who smiles down at the pup who returns the smile.

"Yeah you too little Night," Mike heads to his own den.

When the two returned to the cave Sunny sleeps with Nightstar licking his wound as the pup fell into a dream filled sleep.
