I hope ya'll enjoy this chapter. I have a few more chapters to write before I'm finished with the book! I might post a chapter a day when I get completely finished. I don't want to swamp everyone's notifications! Barrel racing is back in this chapter full force!

Aurora's POV
We stood in front of the carnival deciding which ride we would get on first. Brayden laughed when we first got here, but then I bribed him into riding a bucketload of rides with me. I promised him to give him an unlimited amount of kisses for a week and some nachos and cheese. It was a small price to pay for the happiness that the carnival will bring me. I love carnivals so much that it's probably unhealthy, but I don't care. It's the only time that I can act like a kid in public without being judged.
"We don't have long. Could you please pick a ride?" Brayden said impatiently.
"It's not that simple. I want to ride all of the rides, but we only have time for a couple." I said bouncing on my heels.
"Well, which rides are your favorite?" Brayden said looking around.
"All of them." Brayden sighed as he ran one of his hands over his face.
"You don't have to stay. I can ride them by myself or something." I told him walking away in a random direction.
Before I could get very far, Brayden took a hold of my hand and spun me around. I looked up at him speechless.
"I'm the worst boyfriend ever, aren't I?" Brayden asked me.
"You'll give the top five a run for their money." I said leading him away to a ride I had my eye set on when we first arrived at the carnival.
As we were standing in line at the Ferris wheel, Brayden started to laugh. It was the kind of laugh that's music to your ears.
"What's so funny?" I asked, tilting my head slightly to the side in confusion.
"You knew exactly which ride you wanted to ride, didn't you?" He said in amusement.
"Your point is?" I said smirking.
"Why?" He asked.
"I don't know. I just wanted to spice things up a bit, I guess." I said as we stepped onto the Ferris wheel.
The Ferris wheel started once again after we had sat down in our seats. The wheel started spinning and soon we were at the top.
"I know another way we can spice things up." Brayden said smirking. He started to lean in to kiss me on the lips. As soon as his lips were about to brush mine, I turned my head and he kissed me on the cheek instead.
"Don't you think it's a little cliche to kiss on the Ferris wheel?" I asked Brayden laughing.
"That's what couples do on the Ferris wheel?" Brayden said, brushing a stray hair from my face.
"Maybe in books and movies." I told him as we made our descent.
Once we had gotten off the Ferris wheel, we stopped by a nachos and cheese stand. We both ordered nachos and cheese with banana peppers, salsa, and sour cream. After we were handed our food we walked back to the trailer and sat on the tailgate of my truck. Only small talk was made as we ate.
Once we were done, it was time for me to get my horse ready for the barrel race. Maybelline usually comes with me to bigger rodeos, to get used to the big crowds. Cheyenne Frontier Days were beyond the largest rodeo she had ever been to.
