Blake's POV

"Blakey boy, Is that you?" I turned around and stepped in front of Aurora to hide her from the person that was talking.

You can count on Brayden to ruin the day.

"Go home Brayden." I was beyond angry.

"You're not my mother." Brayden swayed on his feet.

I understood that Brayden felt responsible, but that's no reason for him to run around as the town drunk. For as long as I could remember, Brayden has always been the responsible one. He was the brother that held things together, but now that he's going off the rocker...I'm the one that has to piece everything back together.

That's what I should've done a long time ago. I should've stepped up as the big brother, instead of getting drunk and sleeping with a different girl every night. I should've been there to hold things together, not Brayden.

"No, I'm not your mother. You're mother is in the hospital in a coma and you're out here stumbling down the streets drunk." I could feel my face redden with anger.

"Whose behind you?" Brayden stumbled closer to get a look.

"Is that one of those girls you sleep with? Maybe we could share tonight?" Brayden slurred.

I heard a small sob come from behind me and soon footsteps as Aurora started to walk away. Brayden's mouth opened wide in shock as he saw who was standing behind me. It wasn't long before Brayden recovered from his shock.

"I see you moved on fast." Brayden started chuckling.

"My brother always went the easiest route to get what he wants. I see that, the easiest route is you now. Did you decide to give yourself to my brother to get back at me? Do you honestly think I care? I only wanted you to what he wanted you for, but I never got that..."

"Shut the hell up!" I shouted.

He was taking it too far. Aurora stood frozen in her tracks undoubtedly crying, because of my idiot brother.

"No, let me finish. There's the difference between me and Blake. He gets what he wants, but I never do. Is an easy lay so much to ask for?" He asked, waving his arm like a madman, which is exactly what he was.

I have never been more surprised or proud of a woman as I was Aurora at the moment. She spun around and marched up to Brayden. All I saw was her hand come up and smack Brayden across the face. His hand flew up to hold his cheek.

"I am not easy and I am not with your brother. I don't get cheated on because I'm easy. I get cheated on because I am not easy. You do not get to break up with me then get mad if I go out with other guys. It's my life and I can go out with who I want. Just like you can get drunk and destroy your liver along with your life if you want to. That's your business, so stay out of mine." She spat at him.

I could see her hands shaking. She turned and walked past me wiping tears from her eyes. I couldn't leave her like this, no more than I could leave Brayden alone.

"Brayden! Get back here, I need to take you home!" A familiar voice shouted.

I looked down the sidewalk to see Pistol running in our direction.

"I'll take him home. Go take care of her." He motion in the direction Aurora was walking.

I started running in her direction.

"Aurora!" I shouted to try and get her attention.

She didn't turn around, she only stopped dead in her tracks. I turned her around to face me.

"Listen, my brother didn't mean what he said back there." Her eyes were puffy and red from crying.

"Of course he meant it. It's a proven scientific fact that what you're saying when you're drunk were all thoughts your sober mouth didn't have the guts to say." Aurora said angrily.

I couldn't say for sure that what Brayden was saying was just angry drunk words. Brayden wasn't the type to go around breaking hearts, for a few hours of fun. That was my job. I'm not one for settling down, that was always Brayden's area of expertise. He wanted the whole wife and kids thing and I just wanted to have fun.

"Do you think I'm easy?" Aurora looked up at me with sad blue eyes.

"No, of course not." I said, pulling her to me.

I could feel my shirt getting wet from the tears. She was in no shape to drive-I couldn't let her. Brayden should've stuck to soft drinks and water instead of the hard stuff-Dumb lightweight. I looked at girl in my arms. I guess I would have to add one more thing to fix on the list of things Brayden broke.
