I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to update. My grandmother has been in the hospital since the first of February and now a rehab center and I've been taking care of her for the past few weeks. I've been crazy busy just running back and forth from my house to the rehabilitation center. I just haven't found the time to update until today. I also want to apologize for such a short chapter, but the next chapter is longer.

Please pray for my sweet little grandmother!

I added "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. It goes along with this chapter almost perfectly, so feel free to listen as you read.

I was woke up by the sound of a door opening. As soon my eyes opened, I saw that everyone else had been woken up too. A middle age man stood at the door with scrubs on.

"Mr. Morris." The doctor addressed Brayden's father.

"I'm Dr. Moats. Please take a seat and we'll discuss the situation at hand." Tom sat down.

We all sat on the edge of our seats awaiting the news.

"Your wife was involved in a car accident. There was severe trauma to the head and the abdomen area. We went on and repaired as much as we could to her abdomen. There was internal hemorrhaging, but by some miracle we got it stopped. The severity of her injuries caused her to slip into a coma. I have no way of knowing how long the coma will last. It could be a day, a week, a month, or years before she wakes up. I'm sorry there isn't an easier way I could tell you this. We will do everything we can help her." Dr. Moats said with sypthany.

Tom had tears brimmed in his eyes, but he held them back. Colten and Holden swallowed a lump that had worked it's way up in his throat. Blake and Brayden stayed quiet.

"Can we go see her?" Tom asked.

"One at a time." Dr. Moats said, opening the door of the room.

Tom followed him to Belle's room. The rest of us stayed in the waiting room staring at the four walls. One by one each of them went in to visit Belle. I stayed in the waiting room trying to comfort Brayden and his family. Brayden was the last person to go in.

Almost fifteen minutes later, I saw Brayden through the waiting room window. He was rushing down the hallway.

"Maybe you should go and talk to him?" Tom said, giving me a sad smile.

I nodded my head as I stood up and walked out of the waiting room. I didn't really know where I would find him, but I had a pretty good idea.

Where would I go if I was him?

I followed the signs out of the hospital. The double glass, automatic doors opened in the lobby as I walked towards them. My pace quicken as I walked down the concrete pathway.

Brayden was leaned up against the outer wall of the hospital. As I neared him, I noticed his heavy uneven breathing. His shoulder, shook.

"Brayden." I called out to him.

He didn't seem to hear me.

"Brayden." I called out once more.

"Go away." He's breath began to even out.

"No, I'm not going anywhere." I furrowed my eyebrows in frustration.

He turned around angrily. The first thing I noticed was that his eyes were watery and red. I could tell he was battling his emotions. I could also tell he needed someone to be here for him.

He ran a hand through his hair before speaking, "Can't you see that I don't want you here?"

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't think you wanted me here." I raised my voice.

"Then why are you still here?" He raised his voice to match the volume of mine.

"You asked me to stay back there in the waiting room!" I know that now isn't the time to fight with Brayden, but he's making it extremely hard not to.

"That was then and this is now. Please, just go." He pleaded.

I definitely don't want to be somewhere where I'm not wanted.

My favorite character would have to be Aurora or Jake. Aurora knows what she wants in life and goes for it. Jake is laid back and sort of the "class clown".
