"Gloss!" Kenya yelled. "Where are you?!"

"Seriously," Ashtrin sighed with frustration. "We should just forget about her and go to the queen without her."

"Ash!" Kenya snapped at her sister. "We need Gloss to help out. She has the power to get through any dark magic there is."

"Our little sister isn't even a complete Sun Angel. How in the world do you expect her to even defeat a dragon?" Just then, there was a loud SHING as this golden light quickly flashed before the girls' eyes. There were a few golden feathers that were left behind. Ashtrin picked up the glowing object and twirled it around, mocking Kenya. "Not to mention that she's a bit rowdy with her power of flight."

On the other hand, Gloss was just scouting the area for any traces of dragon scale dust. She just went so fast due to the fact that she had other things to do besides search the area for danger. Her letter from the kingdom made her need to go faster and faster.

"C'mon," she whispered to herself as the wind whipped her black hair in her face. "There's got to be something that means a jeweled dragon is coming back." Just then, she saw a golden sparkle in the snow white clouds. "Gotcha," she said slowing down to get the clues. "Maybe this will be of use."

Gloss then heard shouting coming from the ground. It was faint, but she shook when she realized who it was that was calling her.

"Gloss!" her older sister, Ashtrin, was yelling. "Get your feathery wings down here, so we can get to the castle!" Gloss put the dust away in her little, sparkling blue pouch and flew down to the little hill her sisters were at.

"I'm here," she said as she landed in front of Kenya and Ash. "I have other duties to besides coming to the queen."

"If she requests you, then that's your top priority," Ash scolded her. "Haven't the guards, and us, taught you better?"

"Ash," Kenya intervened. "Gloss is our little sister."

"Ken, she's the same age as us! She has the same- if not, more- responsibilities than us. This is why she stays scouting the area all the time. So she can get over the fact that she's just an ignorant rascal." The words stung Gloss, but she didn't show it. She just raised her head and walked towards the castle.

The entire trip was quiet except for the ruckus of the nearby shops, carriages, and even of women's high heeled steps on the stone ground.

"Dragon scales!" One of the blacksmiths shouted. "Make the best shields and weapons! Come one, come all to those wanting to protect their families from dragon attacks!"

"Corn bread!" The baker called out as the sweet aroma of baked goods filled the air. "New recipe from Her Highness herself!"

"Doesn't the blacksmith know that real dragon scales can never come off without exploding?" Ash whispered to Kenya.

"What'd you say, Ash?" Gloss asked not hearing.

"Go away, Gloss. No one asked you to talk." Kenya just walked up to her little sister and ignored everything Ash said. Gloss just sighed as she started speaking.

"You're special, you know that?" she said trying to bring Gloss' self-esteem back up. "You're an even better warrior than both of us combined."

"But to what extent, Kenya?" Gloss asked looking down at the cobblestone path. "I'm not even considered a complete Angel. I am half immortal and half mortal because I was born from a human family; my powers will refuse to work at times, and I'm not exactly the strongest out of you and Ash." Kenya just put her hand on Gloss's shoulder.

"Just because you are the youngest triplet doesn't mean you are the weakest. Ashtrin might be a bigot, but that's because she doesn't understand what true power you have." Just then, the horns rang in the air, and the streets went silent. Ken, Ash, and Gloss got their swords and shields out. A dragon was sure to come.

Right as they did so, flames burst into the evening sky. Gloss flew into the air and blocked the flames that tried to rain over the town square. She then realized that it wasn't even a dragon that was causing the horns to blow. Standing on the walls of the town were just the two magic interns for the wizard of the castle. One of which was also hoping to be a guard, too.

"Again?!" Gloss said as the two stopped laughing of their joke. "Do you understand what troubles you two could get into?"

"Who's gonna tell, fragment?" Aldis, the red haired one spoke. "Are you going to reveal that we, the next sorcerers of the land, are doing something bad and risking all of the Kingdom's precious supply of magic?"

"Sure," she replied to him calling her by her despised nickname. "I don't mind. Besides, there are many others that want your role." His other friend, Dalton- who had blonde hair and blue eyes- looked at Gloss with a You're-kidding-me face. "And, no," she added. "I am not kidding on this one. You can look at the list yourselves." The boys quickly got off the wall. Aldis pushed Dalton towards Gloss.

"Take him, not me!" he said running off. Dalton tried to grabbed at him and run as well, but Gloss held her hand out to stop him.

"Let 'em go," she said. "What I want to know is why a knight's apprentice is going with these foolish acts?" The ends of Dalton's ears turned red and rubbed the back of his neck. He drew in a deep breath and let it out before answering a lame response.

"I... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that."

"You know better than that," Gloss said getting in his face. "If I see you doing another trick with that joker, then I'll make sure you don't get that role of a knight. No knight would scare their kingdom of some idiotic prank." Dalton, scared of the look Gloss was giving, just cleared his throat and slowly walked off while getting some intense death glares by the townsfolk.

"What's with the interns and playing jokes on the people?" A familiar voice said. The girls looked towards the voice, and they saw it was their good friend Link. He was putting away his sword as well. "So, what took you guys a bit?"  Ashtrin's look went straight to Gloss, but Kenya told differently.

"Gloss was just doing her quick scouting before she came," she answered. "You know how important that is to the Court. Especially with all the commotion of jeweled dragons lurking around the area." Link nodded.

"I understand. Now, let's go. Zelda is waiting back at the castle." The four walked to the castle, but Link whispered something to Gloss. "I think that Dalton admires you." Gloss stepped a bit away from him.

"Why do you think that?" she asked curiously. "I mean, I always give them trouble as it is."

"Well, he has talked multiple times about you. He says you're, in quote, 'A natural heroine', and Aldis constantly bothers him about 'Day-dreaming of an angel.'"

"Are you serious? Dalton, out of all people?"

"I'm shocked myself, but I think he just likes the way you protect the village. I do agree with him. You literally fly around the place faster than anything I've seen."

"I am almost the speed of light."

"Ha, ha, very funny. Anyways, Her Highness awaits us." They all entered the stone bricked building in silence.
