Waking up, Gloss realized that she had slept the entire night. Had Dalton taken the entire night shift? She got up and saw that he was looking at a map. It wasn't just any map, mind you. The only people who could have this map were the people who needed to go through the Enchanted Forest. And the Enchanted Forest was something to be weary of.

"Morning, Angel," he said without looking up.

"Is that the new nickname you've given me?" Gloss asked. "What happened to 'fragment'?"

"That's what Aldis calls ya. I just stay by his side as he says it."

"That boy's a trouble maker. I swear, if he touches my alchemy lab again-"

"You have an alchemy lab?" Dalton asked shocked as he put his map down.

"Zelda was moving into her new workroom, and she asked if I wanted to use her old one. I was thinking about using it as an armory, but Her Highness already made one before. I knew a bit about alchemy, so I decided to make it that. It's helped us all with certain studies."

"So that's what that room is."

"Been near it?"

"Who doesn't notice the sign that says 'keep out at all cost'? It is near Zelda, so every time Aldis and I go there we run past that place. Why do you think about keeping it so secretive?"

"I don't want anyone- that includes you and Aldis- to be messing around with my things as I'm gone doing scouting or requests for the Queen."

"Did you say if he dares touch your things? Doesn't that mean that he's already been there?"

"Oh boy, you should've seen what he looked like after he touched one of my vials. He was greener than a troll!" Dalton pursed his lips to keep from laughing, but it spilled out.

"I would pay a million Zoles to see that!" he replied while still laughing.

"Even your internship?"

"Hey! I will NEVER go that far. Ever. Like. Don't even mention it again!"

"Heh, alright. Well, I need to get going. The group is probably thinking that I got swallowed by some sort of forest creature."

"How will you find them, exactly?"

"Hello? My wings give off a huge light. You can't miss it."

"Even through these brambles of branches?"

"Want proof?"

"Go ahead." Gloss smirked as she closed her eyes. She expanded her wings to the maximum and recited a chant that Zelda taught her. It was used to meditation, which is a technique she learned from a scholar. Apparently, the body of a mortal had this energy that can heal them if they use it correctly. Gloss was part immortal, so who knows what kind of energy she had. She sang the softly to herself.

"Light of the soul and mind," she whispered. "Guide me to the path of my friends. Guide me to where they go and to where their tracks stop."

As soon as she said it, she watched her wings glow brighter and brighter. Gloss looked to Dalton. His eyes were widening as the wings continued to gain this unimaginable light. She then felt this wave of relaxation and power flow through her. She breathed in and breathed out slowly as she rose.

"Find my way," Gloss said as a boom of sound echoed through the forest. From there, she gained this odd sight. She could see these colored footprints on the ground. They were all colors, but most were faded. She noticed that each step Dalton took was the brightest out of them all. Gloss looked around for some other bright colors and noticed a green, blue, purple, and red.

"What in the name of Scolya!" Dalton shouted.

"Told you," Gloss boasted. "Thank you. Again."

"Don't get hurt out there, angel. Wouldn't want your powers to be stolen."

"Hey, I never even knew that my powers could do this." And with that, she went flying through the air while following the footprints become brighter and brighter with color.
