Katrina's POV:
It's been a couple of months into the NBA season and for the first month while I was back home, I stayed with my parents. It was cool because for every game my son was leaving with me. Now that i got a place of my own in the same building as two of the players, I'd say has been cool. But they have been getting real cozy especially our rookie Kelly Oubre. I don't mind but I've learned plenty of times not to mix business and pleasure, but how can you stay away if they're so fine.
Things didn't work the way we both had planned with Jah. I thought of him as a little brother and I told him that. He agreed but still felt sour about. With that being said, I haven't spoken since summer league. JR supposedly is engaged and hasn't contacted me concerning his son. I guess he doesn't want any parts with him. His loss, but his godfather, Quinn is playing his dad which is still in Cleveland.
Jaeden: MA!!
Me: yes Jaeden?
Jaeden: work!?!
I was packing both our bags so we can head to the stadium and today the boys was playing against the Lakers. It's Kobes last season, son I think I'm going to cry seriously. He the GOAT, the 90s babies hero/villain. He gets respect regardless and he makes me want to do my job even better.
I got Jaeden in his coat and I put my stuff on grabbing before walking out to the parking lot. Immediately my phone began ringing, it was Bae🙈😍😘❤️.
Me: hello?
Kyrie: where you at I'm headed to your space right now.
Me: Kyrie you can't just decide when you want to come over and be with me. I gotta go to work if you want you can wait until I'm done.
Kyrie: I'll do just that.
Recap on the past year, I haven't been in a serious relationship & Kyrie broke up with Kehlani and we realized that we've been hiding feelings that we kind of explored in college.
Me: you ready to go!?!
Jaeden: yay!
I backed out of my parking spot and drove to the arena. Once there I met my mother near the tunnel and she planned on taking Jaeden home. I was fine with that.
*After the game*
The Wizards beat the Lakers. Kobe talked about doing business with me how dope is that. I packed everything up and drove back home. I wonder how he feels I can't imagine how he feels to be made fun of all over Instagram.
I was digging through my bag to find my keys unless he heard the rummaging and opened the door for me.
Kyrie: hey babe.
Me: Ky what's the matter?
Kyrie: I'm finally done hiding my feelings alright I want you. Too myself you have my heart.
Me: are you saying this because of what happened or are you saying this because you mean it?
Kyrie: I mean it babe.
Maybe just maybe this may be something real. The real Love and Basketball that I've been looking for.
Me: just promise me a few things.
Kyrie: that I'll give you my all and move to DC because it's a new start for you. Even try my best to make you smile even when you don't want and be the best father figure I can be for Jaeden.
Me: pinky swear?
He wrapped his pinky around mine and we kissed on it. I don't know what it is about him but he definitely has my hooked. He soon lifted me off my feet and took me upstairs.
Me: boy if you think you gone...
Kyrie: I'm not doing that besides we all need a change for once you can replace that thought with the two words your been wanting me to do to you.
Me: okay daddy.

Not how everybody imagined it. But sometimes it's okay to put a twist on somethings and this was called for that change.
So why not uplift the mood of all Kyrie fans today with something good.
