Kat's POV:
After getting my hair and nails done with Kelsey, I was back home changing into my outfit for the night. JR. left with Chris to go and start greeting people already. Kelsey was helping get ready since my due date is July 23. We already hooked up the baby's crib both in Cleveland and NY.
I put on my all my white maternity maxi dress. I love this dress, maxi dresses period. Since nobody knows what we're having, except for JR, he came up with the idea of doing it by the cake. If it's pink we're having a girl if it's vanilla we're having a boy.
So we already decided on names if it's a girl it's going to be Nicole Elizabeth Smith. If it's a boy it's going to be Jaden Stephon Smith. Im dying to know what I'm having because I can't wait to start dressing my baby up in little cute outfits and everything. I slipped on my sandals and walked out with my sister.
We got in the car and she drove us to the venue. Soon as we pulled up, photographers was taking pictures. And some how some way paparazzi found out the venue. As I was taking pictures for their blogs, they started yelling out questions.
Paparazzi: Katrina do you know what your having?
Me: right now at this very moment, I do not know what I'm having. The only people who know is my doctor, family, the god parents and JR.
Paparazzi: who are the godparents?
Me: the god parents are Chris & Jada Paul, Carmelo & Lala Anthony, and Kyrie Irving.
Paparazzi: congratulations on your pregnancy and we can't wait to find out what your having!
Kelsey and I walked in and everything screamed baby. I was extremely over whelmed because I didn't think it would come out this great. I looked around and everybody family friends was here.
JR: hey baby.
Me: hi my love.
JR: my mom wants to see you.
Me: where is she by the way.
We walked over to where our families table was placed and she was extremely excited to see me.
JR'sMom: oh my god you've gotten so big!
Me: I know I can't believe it. I'm really exited to find out what I'm having tonight.
JR'sMom: when will we find out?
Me: when we cut the cake, pink if it's a girl vanilla if it's a boy.
Chris came over and interrupted the conversation for a picture. We took the picture and soon JR. & I had to take numerous pictures everywhere. As time passed on I went around to greet my guests and Shaina brought me over to one person that I didn't think would've came if I sent the invite to him.
Quinn: um congrats Kat.
Me: thanks Quinn.
It was silence between us because there was nothing to say because I haven't spoken to him in a year.
Me: Quinn I'm not mad anymore. I'm just upset that you couldn't support me & my new relationship.
Quinn: I'm sorry. I miss my bestfriend from diaper days.
Me: I miss my bestfriend too. The past is the past I'm over it as long as you are.
Quinn: so can we atleast get a picture together.
Me: sure why not.
We got our picture together. Atleast I have my friendship back. JR came up to us and it was time to cut the cake.
My heart was beating estatically I really want to know.
People had their phones out waiting patiently as they passed a the knife around. JR & I sliced through the cake slowly and pulled out the first piece, soon as we sat it on a plate and it was vanilla everybody was surprised.
Awww we're having a boy. I love it.
JR: aww I got my son I'm so excited for the arrival.
Just then I thought about our child having 4 god parents. I mean since Quinn and I patched everything up and he should be apart of my sons life not just mine.
JR: what you thinking bout?
Me: I think our child should have 6 god parents.
JR: who? I mean I don't think it's a bad idea as long as the person is close to you.
Me: Quinn.
JR: As long as he's fine with it then I'm cool with it.
We opened the gifts it was practically everything that a baby boy would need. The last gift we opened was from an unknown guest.
The gift was a Maclaren red & gold stroller and a Louis Vuitton baby bag.
Shaina: did you open the baby bag.
Me: No why was something in there. Who is it from?
Shaina: it was from Quinn.
Me: can you go get him for me please.
Shaina went off and found him and brought him back.
Quinn: what happened?
Me: I just want to say thank for the gifts and I have one for you too.
Quinn: that is...
Me: you already started off the god parent duty and I think that it's best for you to apart of my son's life as his god parent.
Quinn: I'll take that as being his godfather and it's great because they just traded me to the Cavs so I'll get to see munchi man daily.
Me: Awww that nick name is so cute.
All godparents and I took pictures and danced before the night was over. To say that Jaden will be loved is an under statement.
