Kat's POV:
Today was my night off at the Sports Rehabilitation Center and I was no longer working under the Knicks organization. Sucks to say that but for the past 5+ years, I was welcomed with pride, strength and pressure of rehabilitating our players that we love back to 100%.
Now that my contract was up, I was being looked at some of the greatest sports organizations, the Cavs, Heat, Lakers, Clippers, Thunder, Magic and many more. I picked a place that will always felt like home to me. A place that I have some family, Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland will be my new home for the next 5 years. A great part of my package is that JR & Iman Shumpert will be coming along with me.
As of now my sister, Kelsey was helping pack the thing I would most likely need. JR & I decided that we'll keep the penthouse in TriBeca, we will always come home and just pack the things we would neccesarily need on a daily bases.
Kelsey: The Knicks just gave up three big pieces.
Me: I know sis, but from what Phil was saying was to save money. As for me my contract was over as of last month.
JR: so you were still working on contract terms but off your original contract.
Me: so to speak.
Kelsey: I'll miss seeing y'all faces all the time, in the practice center.
JR: listen sis we'll be one call away you acting like we not coming back.
Kelsey: I know but it just won't be the same.
JR & I was in our show closet packing up some of our shoes. Well my shoes while he just ordered them from flight club asking them to ship them to Cleveland. I then walked into our bedroom bathroom to pull out the pregnancy test that I had took a few days ago.As of now I don't want to bring a baby into the picture because its hectic with the situation we've been put in. But I don't want to go through with an abortion or give our child up for an adoption. I'll tell him now because there never is a right time to tell your partner that your pregnant.
Me: Joey!!! Come here.
I heard his foot steps moving toward the bedroom and I stepped out the closet and sat on the bed.
JR: what wrong babe?
I took a deep breath and swallowed hard before talking.
Me: remember how we came home from our date night when Demi & Peyton was on break from school.
JR: yeah.
Me: and remember what we talked about?
JR: uhh yeah it was about starting a family of our own. What's wrong?
Me: I'm pregnant Joey
I looked up to a face of excitement. I guess it worked out for the best.
JR: does our organization know about the child?
Me: yeah so they're giving me assistants and a bonus.
JR: aww well the lil guy has love coming in.
Me: baby I think we should take the girls with us or at least wait until we find a place big enough.
JR: you right. But when we get there, we staying at a hotel for a lil bit.
Me: okay papa bear.
This is just to hold you guys for sometime until Friday or Saturday. Last night, there was a 3 team trade and my husband JR Smith has been traded. 😢😥😢😥 Sad day for us. But yeah he in Cleveland playing with Lebron James & Uncle Drew aka Kyrie Irving.
