*~Maddie~*
"You're going to choke yourself," Megan commented on my eating. I was being a bit hasty with it, but I had right, and a reason. I wanted to go Skype Niall.
"As long as I don't die, I don't really care," I replied. Everyone was just getting started on their food, but I was already nearly finished.
"But what if you do die?" Aidan asked.
"Don't be so pessimistic, Aidan. No one likes a pessimist," I countered, clearing my plate. "Bye. I'm going to go Skype Niall, now."
I walked as casually as I could to my room, but I bore a slight limp and I was excited, so I expected it looked odd. I closed the door behind me and jumped onto my bed, grabbing my laptop from its case underneath my bed. I powered that up, and waited for Skype to pop up immediately as it always had. Most of the time it was annoying how it popped up instantly, today it was useful.
It was a bit cloudy as far as I could see from my window, I didn't mind that though. I hoped that, if a storm was indeed coming, it wouldn't interfere with my conversation with Niall.
"Niall!" I shouted as I saw his face on the screen.
"Maddie!" he shouted in reply. He seemed genuinely happy.
"What's up? Did you just finish a concert?"
"Yeah. Don't mind the lads, they just felt like having a sleepover. In my room. At midnight. While we're talking."
"It's midnight? It's only six, isn't- Oh, right, the time distance. I forgot about that," I said, "You did a concert at midnight?"
"Well, it was more like eight, but it was only four hours ago, so I'm counting it as just," Niall reasoned.
"I don't see your logic at all, but I suppose I can live with it."
"Wanna play a game of Monopoly?" Harry suggested, taking a spot next to Niall.
"How on Earth are we going to do that?" I questioned.
"Don't they have online versions? I remember playing a game of Monopoly online, at some point in time," he replied. "Niall, search up 'Monopoly online', and we'll see if we can find it."
"Why do you want to play board games all of a sudden?"
"Because it's fun, now shut up and search up."
"Whatever," Niall sighed. I could hear, and see, him typing it up. He was trying to get used to the American keyboard since he forgot his own laptop and had to buy a new one. Well, at least I assumed he had to buy a new one, Dani told me about the forgotten laptop.
"Got it! Here's the link," Niall said, reciting the link's characters slowly as I typed it into my browser.
"I am so going to demolish you all in this game," I challenged.
"I believe you are mistaken," Louis replied, hopping behind Niall and Harry's shoulders, to where I could only see his head and neck.
"I believe I am not mistaken," I said.
"Game on."
And so a very enticing and loud game of Monopoly began.
