Song is Outside -- Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding. The gif is what I would imagine Rika like, just with different clothing, hair color, and lightsaber.

Enjoy!

----

The sound of clashing cut through the Resistance base, in the training room, two dueled.

"Better!" Rika shouted at Finn, as he continued to shoot at her. She was ignoring he crowd of Resistance members that had gathered, and the man that was also watching.

She ducked, as another bullet came at her, ignoring the Force that would allow her to freeze it. Finn moved up, she stepped back, anticipating another shot, but instead, he surged forward and grabbed her wounded her shoulder. She cried out in pain.

--

Poe resisted the urge to run over to her as he heard his former lover -- a woman that he may still love but refused to admit, cried out. He saw the blood seeping through her jacket as she dropped while Finn raised his gun. He had to remind himself that this was only practice. Which will only make it worse when it's real and you can no longer see her. His mind snapped back at him, and deep down, a part of his heart agreed with his traitorous mind.

But still, a large part of his mind still disagreed. She left you, it whispered. You can't just forgive and forget and make up!

--

Rika winced as she moved her shoulder to make a desperate dodge of the bullet. Low blow on the that one. She grimaced, part of her thought that Finn enjoyed making her pay for not protecting Rey, and a part of her also enjoyed knowing that he would eventually leave a big enough opening in his defense that she would then strike. And then there it was. His knees.

Faster than lightning, enough that her leg was only a blur, she whipped her foot into a kick at his shin and hooked it around his ankles. He tried to bring her down with him by clamping bringing his blaster down onto her wounded shoulder, she winced but turned her foot to hook his knees, when he realized that he couldn't bring her down, he tried to brace the fall as Rika unhooked her foot and stepped back just before he fell.

The entire training room was flooded with stunned silence, the only sound that could be heard was Finn's panting.

"Good," she stared at him. Then her face hardened. "But not good enough. If you want to rescue Rey. Then you'll want to get better." Her gaze was cold, but Finn's burning anger cared nothing of it.

"Perhaps then you should let me try to use my lightsaber!"

That finally set off Rika's temper. To hell with anger leads to Darkness. He had absolutely no right to call it his. The lightsaber belongs to Master Luke and only Master Luke.

"You listen to me, boy." She snarled at him, gripping the collar of his shirt. "And you listen to me well. That lightsaber is not yours, and it will never be." She let go of him and he scrambled to get away. "Do you not think I want to get Rey back as much as you do? If anyone is going to get her. It should be me. Not some boy she's only known for a week."

Her eyes flamed, while Finn, despite his pride, dropped his head. "And what chance do you think you have against a Sith lord? A Sith lord that has slaughtered and killed longer than you were shooting. A Sith lord that's in his own territory no less. How do you think you are going to defeat a trained Sith lord when you can barely last against an out of practice Jedi? Not to mention he is Force-sensitive." She finishes, breathing heavily in anger. "So tell me, Finn. How exactly are you going to succeed in bringing back Rey, and safely bring back Rey with nearly no knowledge of how to fight?"
