I sat on the dinner table while mom finished cooking. I couldn't stop thinking about what just happened; Dad and Mrs. Dania Tanner? Why would she text him? About Eda? Being it... Important?
"Would you help me over here?" Mom looked at me and pointed at the plates. I nodded. "Just pick up two plates," she told me "Albert isn't coming tonight, he is staying late for work."
I picked up two plates, two forks, two spoons, two cups and two napkins. Yeah right, I told myself. Dad was probably with Mrs. Tanner trying to find a way to clean their crime. I still couldn't believe they blamed it on me.
"What's for dinner?" I asked mom, already knowing it was spaghetti and meatballs.
"Spaghetti and meatballs."
"Ewwww!" I said.
"But you love spaghetti and meatballs Lauren.. Thats why I made this."
"I do love spaghetti and meatballs, but not when you're the one who makes it; I think i'll pass."
"Oh no you won't Lauren, I won't talk to you if you don't want to, I won't make eye contact with you if you dont want to, but you won't stop eating because you just want to!"
"Fine," I said, "but i'll eat upstairs." Mom looked at me in disbelief, she nodded. I lifted my things and headed upstairs. I was really really hungry, so I gobbled my spaghettis down in a matter of minutes. Jumping to my bed, I picked up the phone and dialed Dean's. He picked it up.
"Hey Lauren" he said immidiately.
"How did you know it was me?" I asked.
"You're the only one who calls me.."
"Right."
"Hey, did you like the ice cream? It was the special flavor of the day!"
"It was......different." I chuckled.
"You didn't like it."
"Nope. But seriously, chocolate chery gumball? What's next, chicken strawberry banana?"
"That sounds delicious!" He laughed.
"No but seriously, I need to tell you something Dean."
"FINALLY! It was about time... I was already starting to think you didn't love me back."
"What?" I was confused.
"Oh wait.." he sounded embarassed, "nevermind that."
"Ooooook, well, I was going upstairs to leave a folder in my dad's office right? When I got inside, I slipped with something on the floor,"
"Typical" he interrupted me.
"SHHHHUUUTTT UPPPPPPP!" I screamed, "Let me continue..."
"Ok."
"Ugh, the only one person who believes me has to be the most annoying one in ALL Earth!"
"Weren't you going to continue?" Dean asked.
"Yes. So, as I was saying, I slipped with his phone, and when I picked it up, the message screen was opened. There was one he got from Mrs. Tanner, Eda's mom, before she was found dead. So... I.. read it. It said she had to talk to dad about Eda, and that it was important." I waited for him to reply.
"You mean, she texted your dad, about Eda? You aren't thinking that she..."
"She helped him murder Eda," we both said concurrently.
"This is really getting creepy Lauren, yet we don't know if our assumptions are correct."
"True, but they actually fit dont you think?"
"Well..." Dean said, "they do fit to whats happening right now, I mean, the text message, and your dad blaming you, but why would Eda's mother want to kill her?"
"That's exactly what we need to find out, but the question is, how?"
"Look, we'll talk about that tommorow ok? Mom's here and you know what she thinks about you now."
"Okay... goodbye Dean.. take..care."
"Goodbye Lauren, you too take care." And we ended the call.

"Lauren, is that for me? Awwwwww thank you!" Eda's hands snatched the piece of paper that was on my hands. I didn't look at her; I didn't want to see what I saw yesterday, so I simply nodded.
"It does make me feel better," she said, "but still.."
"Still what?" I asked her.
"I need REVENGE," the word lingered in the air.
"What do you mean," I looked at her, her green eyes were filled with fury, pure evil behind a face of an angel.
"She stole Steven Alvarado from me remember?"
I remembered Steven, he was always serious, dangerous looking. He hated Eda since the day he met her. I think "I hate Eda" was the only thing he told me directly, other than that, I just heard him answer questions the teachers asked him. I didn't really know why Eda was so in love with him.
"I remember" i told her, eventhought I didn't.
"So you and I, are going to go to her house, and I will cut her hair."
Then everything faded into white, and I was transported into Lilly's front porch.
"You brought the scissors?" Eda asked me.
"I did," I looked at her nervously.
"Then let's do this."
"I don't think its a good idea Eda, why dont we just go home now?"
"Oh you don't think its a good idea?" she sounded threatening.
We were now next to Lilly's bed. She was sleeping peacefullyI her eyes closed, her mouth open.
"Then you go ahead and cut the first strand" she handed me the scissors.
"I- I..I can't- " I studdered.
She got near my ear and then whispered,"or I'll cut it myself and then blame it on you."

I woke up. This time I expected my heart beat would fast paced and that I would be soaked in sweat, so it wasn't much of a surprise. I was starting to hate this flashback nightmares, all they did were remember me of my awful life when Eda was my friend.
Someone knocked at my door.
"Come In!" I yelled. Dean came in.
"Hey... um sorry to come like this into your room, but you really sleep up to late! I was expecting you to be already dressed up."
"Its ok.." I told him.
"Hey Lauren, I have to tell you something," he sat next to me.
"What?" I asked.
"Well... I... have a... girlfriend, and she um..."
My heart started beating fast. I didn't know how i felt, happy, sad, nervous? I didn't know what to do, but I leaned forward and kissed him. His lips were soft, my heartbeat raced. Then we slowly parted away. I was shocked.
"I was... joking...about the girlfriend" he said "but I... dont regret joking about it."
I looked at him, confused. I should of gotten mad, but I didn't. Somehow I felt like I...loved him.
"You know what?" I asked him, "Stay here." I went downstairs rushing, this kiss was what I needed to get the bravery of doing what I couldn't.
I headed to the kitchen where dad was eating his breakfast. I looked at him directly in the eyes and the words came fluently out my mouth.
"What is your relationship with Eda's mother?"
He stood frozen.
