I had to re analyze what happened to actually soak it in. This really caught me unprepared. Lilly, loved...Eda? Oh. God. I had always thought she liked Steven, no wonder she never got so into him. Lilly. Loved. Eda. No matter how much I repeat it, it will still be shocking.

"Here's your minty chocolate ice cream, I finally learned it, see?" Dean said.

I didn't answer, I was way deep into my own thoughts about what just happened.

"Are you ok Lauren?" he asked, "you look like you just saw a ghost."

"I think I did." I thought out loud. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against girls loving girls, but what actually shocks me is the part that the person she was in love with is EDA. EDA. EDA.

"Don't go telling me you saw Eda now, and that she is alive, and who did "murder" her actually murdered someone who looked like her." He laughed, "hey, that actually sounds like a good story."

"Dean," I said, "that didn't happen."

He chuckled "of course it didn't. Hey, I saw you talking to Lilly while I was on the Ice Cream line, which, by the way, you are eating this time."

"Oh yeah, I... um, found her here and we talked," Dean looked at me sarcastically, "ok.. screamed at each other, about stuff that needed to be cleared out."

"Like?..." Dean asked.

"She loved Eda."

"We all know that," Dean said, "they were best friends.."

"Like... more than a friend."

His ice cream fell from his hands.

"Lilly, loved Eda?" he asked.

"Yup," I nodded. Dean stood frozen. "Take your time," I said, "I know its shocking to hear, It took me about 20 minutes to soak it in."

"That explains it..." Dean said.

"Explains what?"

"You remember Eda's party? The one in the pool?"

"Just so you know," Eda said, "I invited you just because Dean begged me to, he said he would tell people not to come if I didn't tell you about it sooo, that's that ok? Don't go thinking I wanted to invite you... Capiche?"

I nodded.

"The party is that way," she pointed to the hallway that got to the pool. "Don't go screwing it up like you do to everything."

As we walked through the hallway Lilly and Dean arrived to the party, they reached us.

"Hey Lauren," both Lilly and Dean said at the same time. Dean came close to me, but Lilly stood there watching Eda in a strange way, almost like she wanted to.. kiss her.

"Oh my GOD! Eda you look beautiful in that bikini!" Lilly's eyes checked Eda up and down.

"Umm... thanks I guess.." Eda said, and we moved forward into the pool.
