Leo's POV

We are fifteen now, so why not ask if we are aloud to go to the surface? It's not like we're that young anymore.

"No," Splinter answers strictly.

He answered too quickly. It's as if he didn't even consider the idea!

"What do you mean no?" Raph asked not sounding pleased with his answer.

Sensei sighed. "You are too unexperienced to go to the surface. You have a lot left to learn before you may go."

Mikey sighed. "Sensei, you've been training is for nearly fifteen years! How much more do we have to learn before we can go up there?"

We all seemed frustrated. Fifteen years in the sewers is a long time. I don't even remember what it looks like up there.

"Master Splinter, Mikey does actually have a point, believe it or not. We have been down here for fifteen years. It's not like we can hide down here forever."

Splinter started to breath heavy. "Enough!" he yelled loud enough for us to get frightened. None of us spoke.

"You don't think I have my reasons of why I won't let you go? You think that the world is ready to see you again? If they find you again, they will kill you just like they wanted to do fifteen years ago."

Splinter did have a point there. We were called monsters. If it wasn't for him, we would be killed.

But then again Donnie did have a point. We can't hide down here forever. Does he expect us to say down here until we die?

"Sensei," Raph asked in a soft voice. The truth was that Raph was scared of Splinter right now. He asked him in a soft voice hoping that Splinter wouldn't yell at him again.

"Yes Raphael," Splinter answered. Splinter had calmed down by now. His answer was in his regular voice.

Raph was nervous to say what he was about to say. He closed his eyes and spit it out quickly.

"Are we ever going to be aloud up there?"

Normally Raph wouldn't be nervous to ask a question like that. It's just that he was unsure of how Splinter would react to it. He could snap at him, or he could answer it calmly, we just don't know sometimes.

"It shouldn't concern you," Splinter said in a sorta harsh voice before walking away.

Raph watched Splinter walk away to his room. Once he shut his door, Raph decide to say something.

"So is that a yes?" Raph asked kinda annoyed that he didn't really answer the question.

"Because I'd take that as a no at the moment."

Donnie and Mikey chuckled at his comment. Me on the other hand hear these comments all the time and just got used to them.

We all ended up moving to the kitchen table. I'm not quite sure why, but we just kinda did.

I took a seat next to Donnie. Raph was in front of me while Mikey sat next to Raph. We kinda sat there awkwardly until Raph broke the silence.

"I don't care what Splinter says, we're ready to go to the surface. I say we sneak out tonight."

Raph's comment surprised me. I wasn't expecting him to still be going on about this!

"How about we don't," I suggested.

I know going to the surface would be nice, really nice in fact. If we were to get caught though, then we'd be in a whole lot of trouble by Splinter.
