Mission Night

Raph's POV

We were going on a mission right away. All four of us since Donnie's arm and Mikey's foot are better. This is only our second time going  out as a full team since the injuries. Last time, it didn't go too well. Leo tried to take over as the leader which made them argue. We didn't end up beating the two mutants, in fact we ran from them. Also, we found out that Leo was keeping a pretty big secret from us.

Tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if this same thing happened. We didn't really have a mission, all that was planned was go out and make sure the city was okay. The four of us grab our weapons and head out to the surface.

We make it to the rooftops and the city is quiet tonight. Hardly any cars passing by the busy roads. Nothing's really happening which I find unusual.

We're out there for at least twenty minutes. Still, nothing out of the ordinary. It's been a boring night, no action, no fighting no anything.

"Donnie, can't we be moving on?" I ask bored out of my mind.

He shakes his head no. "Something's going to happen any minute now, I know it."

"Whatever Don," I say rolling my eyes.

Ten more minutes pass. How much longer must we stay? Can I just leave Donnie here and go home?

"I see something!" I say pointing into the distance.

"Then let's follow it!" Mikey suggests and takes off. He was clearly bored too. 

"Mikey, wait!" Leo says but Mikey doesn't wait. Leo sighs considering that Mikey had just done what he wished and not had waited for Donnie's decision.

We all follow Mikey and it's not long until we get close enough to see what that 'something' was. "Casey!" I exclaim.

My brothers too are shocked. What is Casey doing? Well, I wouldn't doubt that it was a mission but what is the mission? It couldn't be anything good considering he's working for the Shredder.

We're currently hiding behind a billboard. I don't see anyone with Casey, I mean what's the harm in talking to him? I go out behind the billboard without warning my brothers. It's too late when they realize what I'm doing.

"Hey Casey," I say casually. He looks at me both shocked and almost sad...?

"Raph!" Leo calls also coming out from behind the billboard. He gives me an unimpressed glance before Donnie and Mikey come out.

"You shouldn't be here," Casey says sounding worried this time.

I don't answer him. Obviously I shouldn't be here, but I haven't seen him in a while!

"So, what are you up to?" I ask.

Casey hesitates. Something is definitely up. I wouldn't doubt it if he doesn't tell us the truth. He doesn't want the Shredder to harm him, that's the whole reason he left us!

"I have to go," he claims and is about to take off before Leo stops him.

"Casey!"

Casey sighs stopping running then turns around. He sighs, again and looks down at the ground. "Yes Leo," he replies.

"I mean, since you're already here, why don't we talk about the plan?" Leo suggests.

"Leo," Casey starts and looks back at the ground. Something is bothering him for sure. "You know I'm not supposed to be talking to you!"

Leo waits until Casey looks up at him to speak. "I know, but we also aren't supposed to be working with you on a secret mission."

Leo has a point there. Casey is already working behind Shredder's back and this would get him in less trouble than the plan!
