Grayson's pov

There she is, my new bride. My little autumn frost. My Qiu Shuang.

She was even more beautiful in person than she was in the photo. When her father had first approached me, offering his daughter in exchange for finance help, I had intended to refuse his request but yet, when I laid my eyes on her, I had a contract readied and signed immediately.

Autumn frost. Such a unique name.

I could tell she was nervous. She had been projecting nervous vibes the moment I entered the room; her feminine figure was tensed and her gaze was glued to the floor.

I chuckled inwardly. She certainly is different from the other girls. She found the floor more fascinating and had kept her attention to it instead of flinging herself onto me. She wasn't even sneaking glances at me, for heaven's sake!

I closed the door quietly and slowly walked towards her. Her raven black hair was flowing down to her breasts, and I didn't regret my decision to ask her to wear that nightdress.
Her hair seemed so soft, I was tempted to run my fingers through her scalp and hold her petite frame in my arms.

Gosh she looked so small yet so perfect.

"Look at me." I said, hoping I didn't startle her.

She slowly raised her head and the moment her eyes met mine, she gasped softly.

My eyes widened in surprise. She's the most beautiful creature I've ever seen.

Her doe-like dark brown eyes stared at me while surprise was written all over her face. My eyes trailed down her button nose and was fixed on her soft red lips.

I could feel myself growing hot. I wanted to grab her now and kiss those sensuous lips endlessly. I wanted to push her onto our bed and do things I know I'd regret.

But I would look like a savage and make it harder for her to fall in love with me, right?

I know she hated my guts right now, so I had to try harder than how I did with Corriane and the other girls.

And that's why I blurted out an awkward 'Hi'.

I mentally face palmed myself.

Really Grayson? Your mission is to struck a conversation, hopefully this angel would submit herself to you, and all you do is say an awkward hi?

But she smiled.

"Hi." She whispered.

She would be the death of me.

Qiu Shuang's pov
He wasn't what I'd expect him to be.

He was tall, and not to mention®®®® gorgeous. His mesmerizing blue eyes sparkled in pure adoration and his stubble beard made him looked dangerously hot. He was well built with tanned skin, and his lips...i wonder how they would feel like if I touched them.

It's rude to stare but, I couldn't take my eyes off him.

As I was drinking in the view, I knew he was staring at me too. I never felt that I was beautiful, but the man before me looked at me like I was one of a kind.

For the first time in my whole life, I felt wanted.

We stared at each other for quite sometime, and I was wondering if I should say something to him. He seemed to be in thought, for his gaze had rested on my face yet he hadn't say a thing.

And out of the blue, he awkwardly started a new conversation with a 'hi'.

And he cringed at his poor effort to break the silence.
