Qiu Shuang's pov
"Mummy! Aunt QS! Can we get some ice cream?!" The twins squealed together.
Sometimes I'm impressed with their skill to speak the same thing together.
"Yes of course you can, my little darlings." Vivian smiled fondly as she watched her children run to the ice cream van.
Once church service was over, the kids had begged and begged Vivian to go to the theme park until she agreed.
Their whiny voices annoyed the shit out of her, Vivian said.
"Hi Princesses! What flavour would you want today?" Apparently, the ice cream man was a really young man. And from the familiarity of his tone, I'm guessing Vivian often brought the kids here.
"Our usual please," Vivian chimed in. And as the ice cream man was busy scooping ice cream, she turned to me with a impish grin.
"He's kinda gorgeous, isn't he?" she whispered to me.
My cheeks flushed a bright red. I glared at her as she laughed at my expression. I turned my attention back to ice cream man.
He was tall with a height of 6 feet. He looked really young, so I'm guessing he's in his mid twenties. He had caramel brown hair with a pair of gentle brown eyes and two huge dimples on each side of his cheeks which made him look super adorable when he smiled.
The ice cream man gave them their ice cream cones and then divert his attention to me,smiling. "How about this beautiful lady?"
I blushed. Vivian smirked. The kids jumped up and down at the ice cream man's question.
"Yes yes! Aunt QS is like the most beautiful woman we've ever seen!" The twins squealed.
I shot the twins a look and they immediately shut up, but still had the urge to say more as they opened and closed their mouth afterwards repeatedly.
"Mango mania, thank you." I told him politely.
He nodded and bent down to scoop my favorite flavoured ice cream.
"You know Vivian," he said cheekily. "I never knew you had a beautiful sister. You should've introduced her to me earlier."
I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. Vivian coughed awkwardly.
"Jeremy, this is Qiu Shuang." she paused for a second. "She's my sister in law."
Things are getting awkward.
Jeremy stared at me in shock, the ice cream he just scooped started to melt and trickle down the cone to his hands. Raising my eyebrows, I pulled a pack of tissue from my bag and handed it to him.
"That jaw's gonna fall off soon if you don't close it." I said quietly as he accepted the tissue.
He closed his mouth awkwardly as he quickly prepare another ice cream for me, since the previous had already melted pretty badly.
The twins giggled in glee. "Jeremy you like Aunt QS don't you?"
If eyes could pop out from their sockets I swear his would right now.
"N-No...Why would I like her..." he stuttered, feeling embarrassed that he flirted with a married woman.
He thought I was still single. I couldn't blame him. Judging by my appearance, I looked like a freshman in college.
"Awwwww why not? Everyone likes Aunt QS! Even mummy and Uncle Gray!" Myra pouted. Jess pouted as well, even though she didn't say anything more I could tell she agreed with her twin.
Jeremy's face was now beet red and as he handed me the ice cream cone he didn't dare to look at me properly.
I sighed inwardly as I took the ice cream. I had saw this coming, it would've happened sooner or later.
I was far too young to look like a married woman.
Sensing that Jeremy wouldn't dare to strike another conversation, I chose to take initiative.
"Hey, Jeremy right?" I stick out my hand in a friendly manner. "I'm Qiu Shuang. These little monsters' aunt. "
"Hey!" The twins whined in protest.
He stared at my hand, but still shook it firmly though he had hesitated for a few seconds.
"Yeah." he breathed out. "I used to be Vivian's classmate in high school."
And as I was chatting with Jeremy, I saw Vivian and her pair of twins giggling from the corner of my eye.
This is gonna be bad.
I'm sorry this chapter is so much shorter than the previous ones. But I promise I would write something more for the next chapter :)
