Qiu Shuang's pov

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!  WHY THE F*CK DID YOU DO THAT?!"

"It's not me. " I told him, surprisingly calm.

"YOU F*CKING KILLED THE BABY. YOU KILLED IT. YOU PUSHED HER DOWN!! " He screamed at me, his face showing nothing but hatred.

I shook my head. "No. I didn't. "

"YOU F*CKING BITCH. I CHECKED THE CCTV. IT WAS YOU."

I flinched at Grayson's choice of harsh words. How could he not trust me? Am I not worthy of his trust? How could he believe that I did it?

And once again, he said that it was on CCTV. Jacques had called me to the CCTV room to watch the video tape but I was definitely not there when she was pushed down.

I've asked them to check for the other video tapes because if they saw the 'fake' Qiu Shuang running out, they would've saw me running in from another door.

Someone took the video tape away and replaced it with a new one.

One where I hadn't gone through another door to the living room. All they had was a video tape which had solid evidence of me running away after I've 'pushed' Odette.

I hadn't saw her until the moment she screamed and I ran back to the house.

At that time almost everyone was there, staring at Odette's body before Grayson scooped her up and rushed her to the nearest hospital.

"There must be some mistake. " I whispered quietly, trying to hide the disappointment that dripped from my voice. "It wasn't me. I swear. "

"YOU TELL ME WHAT MISTAKE THERE COULD BE?!  I NEVER KNEW YOU WOULD GET TO THE POINT WHERE YOU KILL A CHILD. AN INNOCENT LIFE. " he pointed an accusing, shaking finger at me, his words coated with layers of venom.

"I told you I swear I ..." I wanted to explain, but I was cut off with a ringing sound in my ears and my cheek stung in pain.

I stared at him unbelievably. My tears threatened to spill, but I held my ground firmly, determined to prove myself innocent.

"THE PERSON WAS WEARING THE EXACT SAME CLOTHES YOU'RE WEARING RIGHT NOW. HER HAIR IS THE SAME BLACK AS YOURS. HER HEIGHT AND SIZE IS THE F*CKING SAME AS YOURS. HER FACE IS THE SAME F*CKING ASIAN FACE! "

"No, that girl isn't... "

"WHY THE F*CK DO YOU WANT TO DENY IT YOU WHORE!!" He screamed as he hurled a vase towards me. I didn't duck the flying object in time, so the vase collide with me and shattered into pieces as my head burned in pain.

Blood came running down my face on to my shirt. I didn't expect Grayson to be in such a rage.

More importantly, I didn't expect Grayson to accuse me without even giving me a chance to explain.

I walked towards him slowly and placed my hand on his arm, hoping he would believe and be patient enough to listen to my explanation. "Listen... I didn't..."

"DON'T TOUCH ME!! " He slapped my hand away from him roughly, sounding disgusted.

My eyes cast towards my hand that was now hanging at my side.

"You don't believe me? " I asked, my voice quivering.

His response was only staring back at me, his fury haven't gone down One bit.

Not even when I was knocked with a vase and bleeding rapidly now.

I smiled bitterly, the reality of the world taking over my senses. My heart was clenched tightly within my chest, and it throbbed in pain, much more pain than I have on my injured scalp.

I felt as if all the air had been sucked our from my lungs. I felt suffocated. I felt dizzy.

I wanted to fall to the ground. But I had to ask this question.

"You don't love me anymore, do you?"

His cold gaze met mine.

"I used to." He spat as he went out the door, without saying another word nor turning back.

My heart broke. And it's never going to heal again.

Jeremy's pov
Her body was before me, but it was empty. Her soul, her heart, all the love she had for him had been crushed.

Bandaging her head carefully, I observed her. Her eyes were lifeless, she showed no bit of emotion.

If only she could cry, then I know she'll be ok. At least she still have her feelings within her.

But now Qiu Shuang is like a plastic doll. Pretty, but lifeless, emotionless and did nothing but stare in front.

I sighed. God just had to made it this way.

"There. " I finished the last wrap of bandage around her head and kissed her head gently. "Go get some rest. "

There was no response. She continued to stare into the air.

I sighed, recalling how she came here in a mess.

Flashback
Someone knocked the door, but it was so soft I could almost dismiss it as the wind. Standing up from the couch, I walked towards the door, curious to see who's the visitor.

A bleeding Qiu Shuang stood there. She was holding her suitcase in one hand, and she was expressionless as she stare at me. Her eyes watered, but she did not say a word.

I ushered her in the house as I made a mental note to myself to clean up the blood that was all over the porch.

"What happened?" I asked as I rummaged through my medical kit, taking tweezers and a long roll of bandage cloth.

She was motionless. Even when I took the glass pieces out from her head, she didn't even show any signs of pain.

Someone must have crushed her heart. If not why would she come to my house for help in such a bloody state?

Finally as I was unfolding the first roll of bandage cloth I hear her murmur something like 'he don't trust me'.

I froze. What could make Grayson so pissed that he threw a f*cking porcelain vase at the woman he loved most?

But it was not my place to ask. So I better stay out of this, unless she's willing to open up to me and tell me everything.

Till then I'll find every way to mend her broken heart and pursue her when she's back to her old sweet self.

End of flashback

She didn't budge. So I quietly took a blanket from my room and wrapped it around her body, being extra careful not to touch the cuts on her arms.

Her head had been injured but the glass somehow missed her face. I wonder how.

"If you feel like sleeping, just sleep in any room you like. " I told her and gave her hands a squeeze.

I knew she wouldn't say anything more, so I turned and went back to my room to get some rest.

But a single drop of tear trickled down the poor woman's face, and soon it was followed by other trickles of tears.

She broke down.
