Obi-Wan

You weren't sure how long it'd been since the last time you and Ben spoke, but the two of you were training your ass off to the point of exhaustion, just so you could avoid conversation. Though you were noticing improvement, your social life was lacking and you had started killing time with sleeping, so your pattern was a little muddled.

Sighing, you ran a hand through your tangled hair before dressing in more suitable clothing and taking your lightsaber to the training room. As you had suspected, it was eerily quiet and empty. No matter how many times you came down here alone, you could never get used to seeing it deserted.

You were practising your movement with your saber, trying to make the twirls, slices and lunges as fluid as possible. Aiming for holographic enemies was easy enough, but you pushed yourself. You would do absolutely anything and everything to keep Obi-Wan off your mind, but, with his face in your head, you hesitated when slashing at a hologram and managed to graze your own arm with a process.

With a yelp, the saber zipped shut and dropped to the floor with a clatter as you clutched your arm tightly. It wasn't so painful, but it was still a shock.

'Can't sleep?' Obi-Wan suddenly appeared, and the holograms around you shattered in the air before vanishing. Still having a strong grip on your arm, you turned.

'No,' you cleared your throat, feeling slightly uncomfortable in his presence, but you knew it would be childish to ignore him. 'Not lately,'

He looked down. 'Me neither. No matter. Have you been training?'

You scooped up your lightsaber and nodded. 'A bit,'

As he approached, you felt your chest tighten at the proximity. The last time you were this close was when there had been a meeting and you'd sat beside him, but you'd been ignoring each other for the whole thing so it wasn't as constricting as this.

'Are you hurt?' He asked, and it was only then that you realized he was staring down at the angry red line across your arm.

'Um, not really-'

Obi-Wan gently took your hand and inspected the wound, and it took all the energy inside of you to refrain from screaming at the touch. You weren't so SURE why you had such a strong, emotional reaction to it, but you held your breath to hold it all back.

'Come, follow me. I've got some bacta gel that'll heal you right up,' he said, gently leading you away into the medical wing where he pulled out a tub of the healing stuff. It was a gelatinous, blue substance that sprang with a strange yet enticing odour. The second it touched your skin, you let out a sigh as it gave your burning skin instant relief. 'There. You should be alright now,'

'Thank you,' you whispered, rolling down your sleeve.

'Injuries aside, are you okay?' Obi-Wan asked.

'I'm alright,' you mumbled, looking down. Instead of letting this one slide, he took your chin in his gentle grip and you melted under his touch as you looked up at his concerned eyes. 'I'm sorry,'
