Obi-Wan

'I know I don't get a lot of time away from all of this,' he looked down at you, eyes glimmering as he moved his hand across your cheek gently. 'But I never break a promise, do I?'

You smiled at him. 'No.'

'I'm glad you remembered,' Obi-Wan grinned back, unable to fight off the infectious smile that met his lips whenever he saw your face light up. He lowered his hand from your face and linked his fingers with your own, tugging you with him. 'Come.'

'All right. Obi-Wan, slow down!' You giggled, trying to keep up with him as he began racing through the halls like a giddy child. 'Where are you taking me?'

'You'll see,' he threw the words over his shoulder, checking the hallways before pulling you after him again. Though confused, you refrained from questions and proceeded in following him, trusting him wholly. He pulled you through a marble archway etched with gold, and your eyes fluttered at the colourful sight. The grass was lush and green, decorated with bright, sweet-scented flowers. Underneath a waterfall tree was a blanket, and you looked across at your lover with raised eyebrows.

'Obi-Wan, what have you planned?'

He squeezed your hand. 'Well, I thought you deserved something nice. We never get to be romantic, but, now that nobody is around...'

You tugged your lower lip between your teeth as you tried to suppress your grin. 'It's beautiful. How have I never seen it before?'

'Only at this time of year do the flowers appear,' he explained. 'I believe I timed it perfectly,'

The two of you walked to the blanket, where, with a closer look, you saw a basket. Your heart felt light as you thought about all of the planning this must've taken, and your love for Obi-Wan swelled to such a size that you physically ached to show him affection.

With a gentle kiss on his cheek, you sat upon the blanket. 'Nobody has ever done anything like this for me. It's wonderful,'

Obi-Wan looked at you with an incredulous look as he pulled out a bottle of fine wine and began pouring you a glass.

'Why do you look so surprised?' You inquired, taking your glass with a thank you before raising it to your lips. The dry, tart liquid exploded with flavour on your tongue and you sighed in the summers warmth.

'I can't imagine how someone as beautiful as yourself was not showered with gifts,' he said, drinking from his own glass.

'Not as many people care as much as you do, Obi-Wan,' you told him, shuffling over to sit closer to him. Over the top of your glass, you gazed at his eyes. Gazing into his eyes was like looking into a portal of an entirely new Universe, with every inch yet to be explored and captured by your vision.
