Chapter 15

Aphmau's POV

I wake up to hear the wind howling like crazy. I look out my window and see a snow storm, Immediately I check the weather. There's a huge snow storm going on, it may result in being snowed in and power outage. Why! I hate snow storms, they scare me. I pace back and forth contemplating what to do, I live alone.. great. I take a shower, and get ready like any other day. Once I'm ready the storm starts calming down enough for me to go outside, I do so. I'm shoveling snow off my driveway, I hear someone walk up beside me. I turn and look, Laurance was standing there. "Need any help?" he asked. I nodded and got him the other shovel I had, we continued to talk and shovel my driveway. After some time we were almost finished, but then the snow started picking up. Soon enough it was nearly storming, we both headed inside my house to get out of the cold. "You should call Cadenza or Hayden before it gets worse." I told him, he did just that. I made some hot chocolate, it'd be nice if I had a fireplace but I don't. Once he's off the phone I hand him his hot chocolate. 

"Thanks." he says smiling at me. "You're welcome." I say, carefully taking a sip. I burnt my lip slightly but it's okay. "Why'd you show up?" I asked. "I was taking a walk because of all the fresh snow. I just happened to walk over here and thought you could use some help." he replied. "Thanks, I really needed the help." "Heh, you'll need more if it continues to snow like this." he said turning and looking out my backdoor. "I hope the storm clears out in time for the camping trip." I said, looking in the same direction. "Yea." he agrees. We chat a little while longer while the storm passes. Soon, I stand up and check the windows and back door to see how bad the snowstorm had gotten. It was slightly worse than when I first woke up, we waited around just talking. It was hard for me to concentrate on our conversation with the loud howling wind, he must have noticed that I was uneasy. "Aphmau? Are you okay?" "Hmm? Ye-yea. I'm fine." I continued to look out the window, slightly jumping when I could hear the wind. "I can tell you're not okay, tell me what's wrong." he said, putting his hand on my knee. I looked at him and back to the window, I shook slightly when it howled. 

"So, that's what's wrong?" he questioned. I looked at him confused. "You're afraid of the storm's howling wind?" he asked. I nodded slightly, with a tint of blush on my cheeks. "Aw, it's okay Aph." he said putting his arm around me. I leaned my head on his shoulder, I felt safe. We stayed like that awhile, he grabbed my shoulders and looked me in the eyes. I blushed more, he kissed my forehead and hugged me. "I love you." he said, still hugging me. I didn't answer, I just closed me eyes and returned the hug. We parted and I walked to the window, he followed. He rested his forearm on my shoulder and I looked out into the storm. We ended up walking away from the window, I walked to the couch and fell onto it sighing. "Ughhhh." I leaned back. "Why can't the storm end sooner!" He chuckled and sat next to me. "Guess you'll have to wait." he said in a teasing tone. Right then and there, the power went out. "Eeeek!" I squealed in the dark. "Are you okay?" Laurance asked, with a slight chuckle. "Pff.. I'm fine." I replied. "Yea, you are." "Laurance!" I yelled. "Heh... what?" "Now? Of all times, really?" We laughed, and went to look for candles and flashlights.

Laurance's POV

Aphmau and I went to look for candles and some flashlights. This is her house so she knows where they are. I was using the flashlight on my phone to be able to see in the dark, with all the snow outside you can't see the sun. This makes it completely dark inside and out of the house. She was also using the flashlight on her phone, I stopped using mine just in case we needed it. We walked around for awhile, I found 5 candles and Aphmau found 3. We looked for flashlights and a lighter, I don't think we'll find a lighter but there's a chance for a flashlight. I was looking for the lighter and Aphmau looked for a flashlight, this made us have to part ways. I don't know my way around her house too well but I have an idea. I've looked almost everywhere and I am having no luck finding this lighter, I check a cabinet and find a box of matches. This'll do, I now have to find Aphmau. But first I should light the candles. We left the candles in the livingroom when we parted ways. I went to the living room and used 2 of the 12 matches to light all 8 candles. I thought I would use more but I guess not, I placed the candles around the kitchen, livingroom, and dining room. I had 1 left so I used it to walk around.

I looked for her all over downstairs, I hadn't checked upstairs so I guess it's time to check up there. Since there was a chance of the candle burning out while I was waking, I carried the match box in my pocket just in case. I looked in the bathroom, she wasn't there. Then the guest room, no luck. I checked the towel closet, she wasn't there. Like she would be, I chuckled slightly. She must be in her room now, I walked into her room and she was pulling 2 more candles from her drawer. "Hey." I said, walking up behind her. "Oh, hey Laurance." She said, closing the drawer. We walked back downstairs and waited around for the electricity to come back on. It was quite fun in the dark though, a unique experience. I'm not used to this because my house has a generator that keeps the lights on when the power should be out. "How much longer do you think this'll go on?" Aphmau asked, looking at the window. She looks at that window a lot, I suppose it is storming outside. "It shouldn't last much longer, it's already been out for 45 min." I replied, checking the time on my phone. We talked some more and the snow started clearing up, soon enough you could see outside. We both looked out the window to see just snow, we were snowed in.

Eeeek! Early update! I was sick so I wrote while I was sick, I am hoping to not be sick tomorrow because that would  just be annoying. For you people who just got back from school, 'Heyo!' and for you people who are just like... ?? time it is 'Heyo!' to you too :D That was weird.. anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter..
