Chapter 18

Aphmau's POV

I wake up but don't move, I feel movement up and down from under my head. Almost like someone is breathing. I didn't move a muscle, all I know is that I'm confused. I close my eyes and try to fall back asleep, I hear a sigh and what I'm laying on moves slightly. I hear a slight chuckle and someone touch my hair, I blush like crazy after peeking my eyes to see Laurance. Luckily he didn't see me see him, but he  noticed my blushing.

"Cute." he said, and continued to touch my hair.

I feel like an animal being pet, I move my hand slightly. Then I feel a hand intertwine with mine, I open my eyes to see I had shifted and had my head laying on Laurance's lap while he touched my hair and stared at me. I quickly blushed and pushed my hair out of my face with my free hand.

"Good moo~rning!" He cheerfully said.

"Umm, why was I laying on your lap." I asked, embarrassed. 

"Heh, well.. you sort of just ended up like that." He rubbed the back of his neck, I looked that he was still holding my hand and blushed. 

"S-sorry." He let go of my hand but I kept holding, I don't know why I did. It just felt.. right. 

He looked at me confused and I looked away, letting go. This was a very awkward situation...

"What was that about?" He chuckled. 

"I-I-I umm.." I couldn't speak.

"Hm?" He questioned. 

"N-nothing." I stood up and walked to the window, the snow had melted slightly and was mostly gone.

I squealed and ran to the front door, I had just woken up but it wasn't stopping me. I opened the door hoping to be able to run outside for fresh air, the snow was cleared everywhere but the front door. It is supposed to be dug out on your own. I closed the door and realized I must get ready, Laurance is here for crying out loud. He walked up to me.

"I'll help you shovel that later." He said, I blushed. 

"Why're you blushing?" He asked, getting close to my face.

"I-I need to get ready." I looked down and walked up the stairs, still hanging my head low.

I walked into my room and picked my clothes like any other day, I walked out of my closet and started changing. I had my shirt off and was about to take off my bra when I was interrupted. 

"Hey Aphmau, do you know a place where I can cha--" Laurance walked in, I blushed madly but stayed frozen. His face turned completely red. 

"I'm so sorry, I-I'll be going now." He laughed awkwardly and closed the door, I stood still. What. The.

Laurance's POV

I just accidently walked in on Aphmau when she was changing, I feel bad. I immediately left that room and walked to the guest room down the hall. I changed in there, it was odd. Why did I bring clothes? Am I just careful wherever I go? I guess I am. After I changed I walked downstairs, Aphmau was still in her room. My Irene, it's going to be awkward... why am I such an idiot. I sighed and went on my phone, I wish things weren't so awkward between us. Awkwardness seems to favor us, a lot.

"Hm." I thought, I waited about 20 min and then Aphmau walked down the stairs. 

"H-hey." She said and sat next to me. 

"Hey, s-sorry about earlier." I looked at her, embarrassed.

"I-it's okay.. just learn to knock." She teased, I laughed slightly. 

"Well, want to clear your doorway?" I asked.

"Sounds like a plan." We went and got the shovels she and I used before, then we walked to her door. We better get this done quick, that rip is today and I'm not finished packing. I shoved the shovel into the snow and a chunk fell out, I repeatedly did this. Aphmau did the same. Soon, the front was clear. 

"Few." Aphmau said, wiping away some sweat. 

"I'm gonna go, I just need to grab my things." I said, heading inside. 

I grabbed my things and walked outside with my bag.

"If you ever need help, just call me." I smiled and walked home. 

Once I was home I closed the door behind me, it's a good thing that they cleared their door. Otherwise I'd be stuck in the cold. 

"I'm home!" I yelled, Cadenza walked up to me. 

"Anything happen?" She asked in a creepy voice.

"N-no." I said, walking upstairs to pack. 

I got to my room and closed the door, letting out a sigh. I walked to my half-packed bag, I then opened my closet and drawers. I pulled things I knew I would need and things I just wanted to bring, out. I took all I needed and a few things I wanted. Once I finished packing, I texted Alexis:

Laurance: Hey, when are we leaving for the trip?

Alexis: Meet at my house, 7:30. 

Laurance: Okay, I have a few hours then. 

Alexis: Yup, I'm so excited.

Laurance: I am too, we need this kind of thing. 

Alexis: We sure do, see you then!'

Laurance: See you.

I stopped texting her and thought of things to do in the 5 hours I have to spare, maybe I could go see if anyone needs help packing. No, I don't even know who's going or not. I go on my computer and browse around the web until 7:00. I then grab my bag and fix my hair, I know Alexis is providing the tents so I'll be fine not grabbing one. I walk out the door, Alexis only lived about 10 min walk from my house so I choose to walk there. After some time walking I get to her house, a few people are already there. 

"Come on in Laurance, we're still waiting on some people." She said, I sat on her couch and waited. 

The time is now 7:25 and everyone is here, we have Lucinda, Kiki, Travis, Nicole, Fenrir, Alexis, Aphmau, Garroth, Zane, and I. It's quite some camping trip, I hope she has enough tents. 

"Listen, I have 5 tents so you'll all have a tent partner. We'll do this how I pick someone and they pick someone to choose their partner and so forth. Got it?" I nodded. 

"I choose Kiki." Alexis said, Kiki walked up and look for someone to choose who to pick next.

"Hmm, Nicole." She said, then walked to Alexis. 

"Lucinda." Nicole stated, I thought for sure she was going to pick Aphmau.

"Uh, Fenrir." Lucinda walked off.

"Uhh, Travis." Fenrir said.

"Zane." Travis said.

"Well, I hate you both so.. Aphmau." Aphmau was flustered but she walked aside with Zane. This left Garroth and I partners as default. 

Alexis walked up and said, "The partners are Kiki and I, Nicole and Lucinda, Fenrir and Travis, Zane and Aphmau, and Garroth and Laurance." We all agreed, time for this trip to start!

How was that? I feel extremely bad for the time this is going out at but please forgive me! I am an idiot who got so caught up in Skype and manga that I forgot of my duty. I love you all and give you this chapter, it sounds so formal that way. But, I will see you lovelies when I can! Byee ~Taylor
