I woke up when the sunlight hit my face. I felt warmth near me and I huddled up to it. Strong arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "Morning love." I buried my face in Terragon's neck.
"Morning." I mumbled. Terragon chuckled and kissed my temple.
"You need to get up. We have a trip to prepare for."
I opened my eyes and looked up at him. "Alright." I sat up and rubbed my eyes. The floor was cold, when my feet hit it. I stood up and stretched. I turned around and found Terragon starting at me. He still didn't have a shirt on, and it was then that I realised that I was wearing it.
"Like what you see?" I asked him. He stood up and walked over to me.
"I do actually. A lot." I blushed and looked up at him. I bit my lip. Terragon placed his hand under my teeth and removed my lip. "Don't do that." He growled. He kissed me gently. "You drive me crazy. You always have, ever since the first day I met you."
"Took me some time to get used to you." I said jokingly. I kissed his cheek. "I'm going to go change into traveling clothes."
"Can I come watch?"
I slapped his arm. "No, you cannot." He pouted, but I ignored him and walked across the hall to my room.
I took off his shirt and pulled on a pair of pants. I was about to put a shirt on, but I heard the door creak open. I didn't turn around. I felt him trace the scars with his fingers. I shivered slightly from his touch. He kissed the base of my neck and wrapped his arms around me from behind.
"Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. Now that I got a taste of you, I just want more and more." His voice became husky and was breathy in my ear. I leaned against him and kissed his jawline.
"You just came to see the scars didn't you?"
Terragon kissed my shoulder. "They aren't that bad. Besides, they add a little bit of a danger side to you. Like the one on your face."
I giggled. "Okay." I pulled the shirt over the rest of me, along with a short sleeved tunic. I walked out of Terragon's arms and grabbed my swords. I tied my hair into a braid and started tying my boots.
I looked up at Terragon. He was wearing a more princely outfit. It was white and made his silver eyes shine through. It also brought more attention to his white hair and blue skin. He looked like the sky.
I kissed the corner of his mouth. "You look like the sky. All you need is gold for the sun."
Terragon smiled. "Obviously your my sun."
I laughed. "That was a very nice move Your Highness."
Terragon frowned. "I don't like hearing that from you."
"Get used to it because as soon as I step foot into your castle, I'm just a commoner and your the Second Prince of Thalidien." I kissed his cheek. "Come now, if we want to get there before noon, we should leave now."
I walked into the kitchen to pack some provisions for our trip. I went down into the basement and grabbed some dried venison. I packed bread and cheese along with water canisters. I walked outside and started tacking the horses.
I had a coughing fit before we left. This one wasn't like any other. I ended up throwing up blood. I collapsed on the ground and I didn't have the strength to get up. I was leaning against the wall breathing heavily. Terragon came running. When he saw the amount of blood on the ground his eyes widened. He kneeled down next to me and put his hand on my face. "Kava, you told me that it wouldn't get like this."
