I don't remember what happened after Warren sliced through me, except for when I killed him. I just remember seeing darkness and hearing swords clashing outside and men shouting. I heard the door to my cell creak open and someone running to my side. I heard voices, but they were muffled. I opened my eyes and squinted. Their faces were blurry and I couldn't see them. All I knew was that they were panicking.

I felt myself being lifted and carried. I felt warmth from the person who carried me. A warmth that I needed.

(Terragon's POV)

I ran down the stairs, killing guards that fought against me. My vision was blurred as I only thought of Kava.

For what seemed like eternity, I finally reached her cell. The first thing I noticed was the blood. There was blood everywhere. It lined the floor and pooled together in a puddle. I followed it with my eyes and trailed to a limp body in the corner.

"No. No no no no no no no no no!" I rushed over and opened the cell door. I fell to my knees, my pants getting soaked in her blood. Her chest was rising and falling ever so slightly, meaning she was still alive, but just barely.

I heard footsteps running. I turned and saw an elf and Derrick. "Someone go get a physician and quick!" I lifted her up in my arms. "She doesn't have much time!" Derrick nodded and ran up the stairs. The elf looked at me and looked at her. He looked devastated.

I walked past him carried her up the stairs. I walked into the first room and placed her gently on the bed. "Kava, forgive me for this." I ripped the bottom of her shirt off exposing her stomach. There was a gash in her and blood was pouring out.

"Good thing Warren is already dead." I mumbled. "But now I want to resurrect him and slice him in half all over again." We had found Warren in the torture chamber with Kava's dagger in his chest.

Frustrated and devastated at the same time I ran my hands through my hair, stringing it with red from Kava's blood. I ripped some of the sheets from the bed and grabbed a tub of water that was near the fireplace. I dipped the cloth in the water and started to clean the wound. Kava shifted a little bit, making more blood come out.

The door was nearly knocked down, as Derrick barged in. The physician looked at me and then looked at Kava. He studied the wound and sighed. "Pull the table over here near the bed so I have some space to work. Also, instead of standing around like idiots, go and finish cleaning up the place. Warrens rats are everywhere."

Derrick and I looked at the fellow guards that were in the room. Our eyes met and I nodded at him. I looked at the physician. "I'm staying here. They have no need of me as this isn't my kingdom."

The physician didn't look at me. "Do whatever, just be quiet and let me work."

I pulled a chair and sat on the other side of the bed. I intertwined our fingers and kissed the back of her hand. "You're going to make it." I whispered more to myself then to her.

(Cole's POV)

"Who is that fearie?" I asked Derrick, as we were on our way to the courtyard.
