Lighting a new love

Chapter 12 : Freedom

P.O.V: Levy

I looked all over for a switch, lever, a button even but nothing I sighed "I looked all over for something to free you guys but I can't find anything." I heard the second dragon this time "Princess don't you have your mothers heart?"

I was confused what he was talking about. "Her heart? Do you mean blood related or her actual one?" He went silent which scared me because they never shut up. "You don't have it!?!" This time the other dragon spoke well more like yelled. As I flinched I hit a pressure plate on the wall open and reveal a key that looked like it needed a heart to open....wait a minute. 'Don't you have your mothers heart?' Is that what he meant?

"Hey there's a key like thing in the wall is that what you guys mean?" I hear the more aggressive one sigh and said "I guess. Now do you have the 'key' or not?" I thought about ever seeing anything of a key shaped like a heart that mother ever gave to me but nothing came to mind. I sighed and I think the dragons had their answer and let me be, and for the first time in my life I have felt alone without the voices always arguing in my head about who's son I should marry. Yeah I guess word of my new law hasn't reached them yet.

I thought of Gajeel and his promise to me making me smile and feel all warm inside. I hope they're alright and i'm just over reacting and I hope that Gajeel will keep to his promise and coming back for me so we can live together and be happy. My smile soon faded when I felt my heart nearly rip out of my chest or that's what it felt like at least and when I got closer to the window it only got worse as did the voices in my head they weren't even talking anymore just roaring making me want to rip my head and heart out of me. But that's when I saw saw him making me both scared and happy at the same time.

P.O.V: Gajeel

Everything felt as if it were in a slow motion movie. Lilly and Lucy's face's along with Laxus and Jellal's have all went to shock and horror as the fragile necklace was falling to the ground and me diving to catch it before hit it. One: the tips of my fingers brush against the diamond chain, Two: My knees  had hit the floor,Three: My side was the next to met the cold of the cave floor, and finally...Four: I had caught the necklace before it hit the ground and I pulled it close to my chest thankful that it didn't break.

Lilly had put his sword away and helped me up careful to not touch the necklace. "I am so sorry Gajeel if I had known that the necklace would have fallen I would have never of taken it from you." I pet his head and surprisingly he let me and also let out a few purrs making me chuckle. "I don't know why but Levy's mom gave this to me before she..." I had stopped remembering why I had the necklace in the first place. 'I have to tell them they think their queen is still alive and that's why Levy isn't the queen already' "Guys?" they all stopped talking about where to go next and all listened to me making my next words next to impossible to say.

I let out a heavy sigh hoping to calm my nerves and spoke. "I'm sorry but going to the fire nation would be hopeless. Because Levy's mom is dead." I heard Lucy gasp and walk over to me tears in her eyes. "Is that true Gajeel? Because of this is some sort of prank it isn't funny." I looked at her with pain for her and the rest of the Ice kingdoms loss in my eyes and she and Lilly knew that what I told was the truth and I thought about how Levy would take it then my heart sunk knowing that her reaction would be worse that Lucy and Lilly's. "We have to give this necklace back to Levy if her mom knew she wasn't going to make it back to her."

They all nodded in agreement with tears still in their eyes, but one thing stopped me from exiting the cave. "How are we supposed to get beck in?" By the look of the others faces they didn't think of that themselves. Lucy and Lilly thought of different ways back into the palace but couldn't come up with nothing and everything I thought of Erza and Mira had probably already cut it off with guards at the exit's. That's when I remembered something Juiva had taught me when we were little before the war had started and she didn't move. (If you ever need Juiva just look to the clouds and say drip drip drop and I'll be there okay??) Back then I thought nothing of it but hell it's worth a shot.

I stepped outside looked up at the clouds closed my eyes and said "Drip Drip Drop" A puddle came from a cloud and formed into Juiva. "You called Gajeel?" I smiled thinking it wouldn't work but here she was. "Yeah do you know how to get back into the palace?" She thought a moment then nodded her head as a bright blue light surrounded all of us in the cave and next thing I knew we were in the castle garden. I smiled hugging Juiva but that smile soon faded into horror when I saw her frozen. Lucy fainted and Lilly grabbed me by the shirt yelling/asking what I did when Jellal ripped his arms away from me and said "The necklace touched her by accident when they hugged" I looked at the necklace in my hand and put it in my pocket and looked at my childhood friend that I froze. "Don't worry Juiva i'm sure Levy will know how to fix you .

Speaking of Levy I heard her scream from the very top of the tower and the necklace glowed and ripped right out of my pocket and started to fly up but I grabbed it before it could. Little did I know I flew up with it.

P.O.V: Levy

I saw Gajeel and the others in the garden and Gajeel flying up to me before flying face first into the the tower bars making me smile only for a bit when I felt a necklace wrap around my neck and a huge power surge flow through my body. I looked over at the key hole now knowing what to do. I walked over to it and placed my necklace on it, soon it glowed a bright blue and a passage was open. I turned to the bars and waved my hand in front of them making them turn to ice and shatter letting him in. I began to walk down the stairs with him behind me watching my every step until we got to a cage that was dark but you could see one pare of blood red eyes and another pare of sliver eyes.

"So you have your mothers heart now do you." I nodded. "It took me awhile and when this necklace wrapped around my neck I knew what you meant." It took me a moment to realize that the voices weren't in my head anymore but actually outside of my head. I smiled when I felt what the heart wanted me to do next. "Are you boy's ready to have your freedom?"

I know this is a short chapter but I had a new idea for a book sorry.
