Chapter 11 : A decision to make

P.O.V: Levy

Everything's just a huge mess. Erza and Mira are planning an attack on the fire nation at sun rise, Gajeel and Lucy could be hurt or captured or worse....d- "Don't think like that Levy. If they made it through the tunnel then they made it to Pantherlilly and he'll keep them safe. Everything is going to be....." "Princess."
'No.No.No.No. It's that damned voice again...I can't keep going through this'     

"Princess just listen to me. You know who I am right?" "Yes." "Good very good. And if you know who I am then you know my son yes?" I was growing tired of this stupid game. "Yes I know who you are and I know who your son is can we get on with it?!" I heard the voice chuckle with in my head. "Of course. You know what has to be done. Free us we can help you end this war and get your mother back." I thought about what he was saying and I flashed back to when she was taken from me during the first days of the war.

~FLASH BACK~
I was just 10 when the fire nation started it's first attack my mother Grandina left to lead her knights to battle to protect myself and Wendy my little sister who was still very young to remember anything that happened that day. My two best friends Mira and Erza were guarding us to make sure nothing happened while mother was away. Even though they were small they could still leave you pretty bruised. Wendy started crying in my arms and I tired to calm her down as best as I could.

I looked out the window to see so much blood shed from both sides and the sounds of swords clashing and people screaming in pain. People had arrows and other weapons in their arms, legs, and stomachs and even their.....heads. I wanted to cry along with Wendy seeing people who I've become to know and love were on the ground in their own pool of blood. "Wendy please stop crying please." I begged but to no avail.

"Levy you okay?" I heard Mira's kind voice flutter through the bars of the door. I smiled and replied back. "Yeah Mira were fine thanks." Even though I couldn't see her I knew she was smiling. It was about an hour into the war when a ear ringing roar was heard and right after that the sound of metal boots hitting the steps of tower stairs along with Mira and Erza getting ready to rip the person apart. "We need you two." A voice that I knew was my best friend Gildarts.

Without hesitation they went with him leaving Wendy and myself to listen to the sounds of the war below. I look out the window to see where the roar from earlier came from when I saw a.....dragon.....a dragon of all things I was told that they were nothing but fairy tails but there one stood. Fighting....MY MOTHER?!?!?!!.....she swings her sword at it and the dragon lets out a roar that has fire to go along with it. Mom dodges it but barely as I see part of her arm catch on fire. Just as she puts out the fire another dragon shows up behind her and both dragons block her escape with their legs, wings, and tails.

One of the dragons was red it's scales looked as though it came out of a volcano as heat was practically dripping off of its scales. The other was silver and looked like it was made completely out of metal it was smooth and looked cold. The dragons closed in on her as if they were going in for the kill when my mom said something in another language that I had no knowledge of. She pointed to the tower that held both Wendy and myself she said something else that I couldn't hear but the two dragons looked at the tower then to themselves and nodded as they headed for a tunnel that was just beneath the tower. After they were in the tunnel my mother was surrounded by the enemy as they forced her into the cage and was carried away into their kingdom. "You must make the decision now....Levy."

~FLASH BACK END~

"Now it is time to fill your part of the promise and end this war by letting us free." I grabbed my head trying to block out the voice that has been haunting me for years about freeing them. "Levy you have no other choice you must bring the kingdoms together if there should be any hope for the future." 'He's right' I brought my hands off my head and sighed. "Alright I'll free you."

P.O.V: Gajeel

I woke up to the cat poking me with his claw. "What is it cat?" I asked with a smirk on my face when I heard his growl in protest of my nickname for him. "We have to go if there should be any hope to stop this war once and for all." I grunted my protest and then it hit me and I rolled over to see if I had heard him right. "You don't mean-" He nodded his head with his arms crossed "Freeing Levy's mother and you all get back you know who..." He trailed off and I knew what or who he was talking about.

I then remembered something as I reached in my pocket and pulled out a crystal heart that looked like it was carved out of ice and the chain was made of diamonds. Lilly's face went pale as he started to back away from me with his tail between his legs and his ears backwards. Lucy looked over and fainted when she saw the necklace causing Jellal and Laxus to look over. Laxus went over to her and picked her up but when I looked at Jellal he looked like he was about to faint as well.

"GAJEEL PUT THAT DOWN!!!" Jellal yelled making me jump and dropping the necklace if it hadn't been for my fast reflexes it would have broken. "What the hell Jellal?" My question didn't seem to phase anyone as their eyes were glued to my hand that the necklace was in. "What is with you all? It's just a necklace and ...I...I have to give it back to Levy....We have to go back."

"How?.....How are you not made of ice by now?" I looked at Lucy who was now awake and hiding behind Lilly with Jellal and Laxus behind a them. I looked at them confused. "Okay what the hell is wrong with you all?" Lilly looked at Lucy who nodded her head as Lilly slowly drew his sword and walked towards me. "Wow. Sneaky cat ver-" "WOULD YOU SHUT THE HELL UP!!!" Lilly yelled at me then gave me an apologetic look. "My apologies Gajeel just let me..." He put he sword gently through where the neck goes and lifted it up in the air slowly.
Lilly looked at me then started to speak. "This is the ice crystal heart. It has the ability to turn everything and anything into ice. And the reason why we were so afraid is because even though Lucy and I are from the ice kingdom the heart can still turn us into ice." I looked at him confused and then looked at my hand. Nothing. "Are ya sure your alright? I mean it's just a nec-" I didn't even finish what I was saying before the necklace slid off the sword and fell to the floor.
---------------------------------------------------- I'm so sorry to keep you all waiting for this chapter and I'm even more sorry that I have to leave you on a cliffhanger. I'll post another chapter after this one I promise and my other story doesn't seem to be getting a lot of reads so I think I might take it down.
