"Oh Serena...where are you?..." his creepy voice called out.

I flattened myself against the tree I was leaning against and muffled my heavy breathing with my hands.

"I just want to talk..." he called out again this time he sounded closer.

Shit.

I didn't know what to do I couldn't run from him since he would catch up to me in a heartbeat, after all, he was once an  Alpha.

I glanced over to my right and saw a small clearing in the woods, would be easier to see, it would be a long shot but I might be able to make it there.

"I'm getting mad now, Serena," he cautioned, "if you come out now I won't hurt you."

Asshole. I knew that was a lie.

I looked around at my surroundings, but it was hard to focus on one thing at a time, my head was throbbing from the initial crash. My left arm felt like it was detached from my body.

"I can smell your blood,"

Even with my faster healing, my wounds weren't healing fast enough. I could smell my own blood too but, I could also smell my mom's on me as well.

Where is she?

I peered around the back of the tree to see if I could spot Noel's dad but it was too dark to see.

Noel if you can hear this please find m-

I was in the middle of mind linking when my head got blocked and it throbbed more. I must have a serious concussion.

"Come out now, Serena!" He yelled he was really close now.

It was now or never and if he got any closer he would see the clearing. I had to go now.

I started to count down in my head...

3..

2..

1..

I took a deep breath and braced myself for the pain and shot out from behind the tree and ran as quickly through the forest towards the clearing until my lungs burned for air.

Once I made it to the clearing, I ran to the side of it, so that I wasn't visible and I collapsed to the ground, the cold dirt comforting me. That was the most exercise I have done in the last year. And now I'm wishing I had worked out more.

I could feel my heart beating against my rib cage like it might just pop out. My lips were dry and cracked and I pretty sure I looked like a mess. I reached up and touched my aching head. I looked down at my hand and saw it was covered and blood. Yep, defiantly a concussion.

"Serena! You little bitch come out now!" He yelled again making me shiver with fear.

He was further away now but if I stayed here for too long he would find me and I couldn't risk it.

I pulled myself up despite my muscles crying for me to lay back down.

As fast as my aching legs would take me I ran north into the forest hoping it was the way back to Noel's house.

I would have shifted into my wolf but I was too injured to shift and I knew my body couldn't take it.

I had been running now for a solid 5 minutes and my legs were about to give in, right before they did I braced myself into the first thing I could grab which happened to be a large tree which held me up.

I couldn't run for much longer and I sure as hell couldn't hide.
