chapter 33

The mehndi designers started their job and were busy in covering her hands with henna while everyone especially Nandini was staring at her incomplete mehndi that that still being drawn and with this the smile never left her lips as it has taken it's place permenentaly and won't leave her pouty lips.

She was sitting now looking in front with both of her hands in he hands on designers sitting on her either sides who were enjoying their job and function and smiled at nandini's cute talks and her loving , sugary voice for everyone. Nandini was watching some girls dancing while some ladies beating the drum according to the song and sang them by themselves.

Mukti, Alya and soha were mostly unaware of few songs as they were quite old but still they enjoyed and tried to listen to everything, navya was actually well aware and was smiling at her friends who were trying to figure put the meaning of the lyrics. The girls who were dancing left as the song came and dragged mukti and lays in front of Nandini asking her to dance..at first they rejected but agreed as they saw navya and soha encouraging them to start..the song started ..

"meri bano ki aye gi baraat k dhol bajao ji.."

Mukti and Alya turned around and as the music started they turned towards everyone and started first pointing towards Nandini and then dancing like asking to beat the drum. Keeping it simple yet decent.

"meri lado ki aye gi baraat k dhol bajao g"

They repeated the lines and again did the same steps.

"gajra khila hai balon mein, surkhi lagi hai galon py"

They danced first moving there hands vertically on their hair whose starnd were on the front side and then slightly jumped first right and then left.

"gajra khila hai baalon mein, surkhi lgi hai gaalon py"

they repeated the lines and steps..

"bindiya chamakti maathy py, pairon mein gajra"

they danced smoothly..

"saja hai tan py gehna"

Now Navya added holding nandini's chin in between her fingers as she sat on her left side.

"lagy kya khub tu behna "

navya said the lines in same position

"khily honton py laali, saji kaano mein bali "

now soha came and sat beside navya and touched her eating lightly making her smile more and more.

"lagi mehndi dulhaniya k haath k dhol bajao ji"

navya and soha got up and went to kukti and Alya to join them.

"meri bano ki aye gi baarat k dhol bajao ji "

four of them danced and ended the song with a sound of claps as they deserved.

"ma'am aap k haath pr kya naam likhna hai"

One of the designerS asked Nandini as everyone came and sat with her making a semi circle in front of her. "Manik" Nandini replied shyly..."kahan likhna hai." She again asked and before Nandini could reply navya replied "aisi jagah likhna jahan se hamarE jeeja ji dhund na skyn.." navya replied dragging the word "jeeja ji". THe designer nodded and wrote manik's name on her right hand ;on the start of her index finger and mixed it with the design so that manik will face difficulty while finding it. The function went all good with much discussions songs, dance and of course girly time. Now the designers left and Nandini went inside her room only took pulled into the balcony by Mani who came all the way to meet his Nandini and to see his name in her henna or rather to find it. Neither he said a word nor she but just remained under the sky which was slowly getting darker and gave a beautiful view of sunset which directly faced the couple romancing after bride's henna function. Manik slowly placed his lips on hers on kissed her sweetly while holding her waist as Nandini's hands were slightly touched with Manik's shirt as her henna was not fully dry but not wet as well. Manik broke the kiss and kissed her forehead; joining his forehead with hers he gently took nandini's hand on his like manik's hands were straightly opened and Nandini placed her straight hands on his. He gently moved towards her right hand and kissed her place where his name was written as a sign that he has found his name. She smiled and wasn't shocked because she knew manik can easily find. Manik put his right hand in his blazer's inside pocket and took out a box in red colour..he slightly opened the box and took out a bracelet having a musical tie on it and gently slid in her left hand as it was just a thin chain that won't destroy her mehndi. Nandini gave him a shocked look and he said.

"it a gift for my love..it's a musical tie it connects two chords and we are connected to each other like two chords and with this I promise to be with you." Nandini was left speechless at his sweet getures that will never end...."but manik I didn't won u won and found my name so why this gift.." Nandini asked cutely. Manik kissed her pout and said "I don't need a reason to give you gift meri jaan..I love you and will give u gifts every time..." Nandini hugged him by placing her head on his chest and he encircled his arms round her delicate figure...
