CHRIS POV
I felt my heart torn out of my chest when I heard silence, and I had no clue what Melanie's response had been. I slowly twisted the doorknob, but it was locked, so I gathered my strength and busted the door open with one shove. Christian didn't even turn to look at me, and he was kissing Melanie. His lips were on my property. I could feel my eyes glowing brighter, the fire surging through my veins. I could easily burn a large hole in the back of his shirt, but I stopped at the last second. What if Melanie wanted this? She hadn't pulled away when I had barged in either.
"Melanie." I said softly. I saw her eyes flutter open and land on me, and Christian slowly pulled his lips away from hers, looking into her eyes, pleading with her. His eyes were full of love, and her eyes were full of confusion. She looked over at me.
"Chris-"
"Melanie, what he says is true. All of it. But I need to know now. I won't let Jackson touch you, but Christian could still be better for you. Who do you choose?" I asked.
"If I choose either one of you I'll have to take sides in the war." she said, her eyes closing as a tear escaped.
"Yes." I said, waiting for her to respond. She looked up at me with an unfamiliar look in her eyes. One that I had never seen before. Determination.
"Chris, tha eíste pánta na eíste orycheío." she said. Chrsitian and I looked at each other with shocked expressions. How did she learn to say that? I looked back at her and wrapped my arms around her, hugging her close to my chest.
"And you'll always be mine." I responded. Christian looked a little upset, but he didn't look hurt.
"I tried as hard as I could. I won't bother you anymore." he said seriously as he walked out of the closet. I kissed Melanie eagerly and she kissed me back.
"How did you learn to say that?" I asked when I pulled away.
"I wanted to tell you yesterday that you'd always be mine, but I didn't think it was the right time. I looked up how to say it in greek so that when I told you, it would have more meaning." she said. I hugged her closer.
"No matter what language you say it in, it will always mean the same thing, and it will always be the truth." I whispered. She smiled and threw her arms around my neck.
"I'm sorry." she said.
"About what?" I replied.
"Christian kissed me and then I didn't pull away but I wanted to pull away and-"
"Shh. I understand koritsáki." I whispered.
"Is that my new nickname?" she asked with a smile. I smiled back and shook my head no.
"No, it's what you are." I replied, and then I kissed her again. She was right. I would always be hers, and she would always be mine, and Jackson could go back to hell where he came from. He couldn't tear me away from her. I loved her too much. As soon as she let me go, I hurried out of the room with her at my side and I kissed her one last time before I left to go to my class. She went to her class with Christian and I was hesitant to let her around him but I knew I had to. I didn't like the fact that a war was coming and someone from my side was going to die. Deep down, I hoped it was Jackson. If he died, I was next in command I wasn't too eager on being a leader, but at least I wouldn't have anyone telling me what to do.

MELANIE POV
At lunch, Christian wasn't looking forlorn anymore. Chris sat next to me at a separate table, the table in the far back corner where we could be alone. I didn't even eat, I just talked to him.
"I'll be at your house today to work on the powerpoint for the project." I said with a smile. His hand inched up my thigh.
"Come get me when you're done." he said with a smirk. I smiled back at him and then frowned.
"What?" he asked.
"Are you really going to war?" I asked, He sighed and nodded.
"We both have manor's in the woods. In this case, their side is coming for us, so we'll be the ones hiding in there. They're probably going to ambush us." Chris said.
"What about Jackson?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of him. He's not gonna touch you." Chris said. I smiled and threw my arms around him.
"I don't want you to get hurt." I whispered. He hugged me back.
"I won't. I promise." he replied. I hoped he was right.
"I'm taking you with me." he said.
"To where?" I asked.
"The manor." he replied.
"Why?"
"You'll be safe there. I don't trust my brother." he said, looking across the cafeteria at where Christian sat. I nodded slowly.
"When?" I asked.
"We leave tomorrow."
