~Kate's pov~
20 minutes later we get there.
"The last place we saw him was in there" I say.
"Okay stay out here" the cop says.
5 minutes later he comes back out. And an ambulance is pulling up.
"What happened" I ask.
"When Mario tripped your father..." He says
"He's not my father" I interrupt.
"I'm sorry when Mario tripped the man, he hit his head and he is no longer with us" the cop says.
"I swear I didn't mean to kill him" Mario says.
"Mario calm down no ones in trouble we know it was an accident" the cop says.
"So he's gone for good" I say.
"Yes he's gone Kate" the cop says.
"It's over mom" I say starting to cry.
Then i feel to arms around me.. It was Mario.
~Mario's pov~
I love her I can't imagine losing her again I will do whatever I have to to make sure she is okay.
"Mario" Kate says.
"Yes Kate" I say.
"I love you" Kate says.
"I love you too" I say and kiss her forehead.
"Can we go home now" she asked.
"Yeah okay let's go" I say.
"Mom will you take us home" I asked,
"Yeah get in the car" she says.
Like 6 minutes later my mom gets in the car and we leave.
When we get to my house we go up to my room and lay down.
"Kate I thought you said your dad died" I say.
"He did that man wasn't my dad he was the man that helped raise me" I say.
"Oh I'm sorry" I say looking the other way.
"Mario it's okay" she says.
"Kate I love you and I always will no matter what happens okay" I say.
"What's going on what are you talking about Mario." She asked.
"Kate I'm leaving for a little while" I say.
"How long" she asked.
"9 months" I say.
Then she runs out of my room and my mom comes in.
