The Beginning

It was a fine autumn day. Mystery sat at her usual spot and watched with her light grey eyes as her little brother Jax ran across the playground with the other 4 year olds.

Mystery was sitting at her usual park bench that she had sat at for the past year on every Sunday. She took her brother to the park all the time and just sat in peace and watched him. She got the satisfaction of silence and alone time while Jax got to play.

Mystery wore her maroon PINK shirt with capris rolled at her calves and white converse. She dressed cool for the autumn day in the park.

Mystery began to feel lonely. She didn't have but one friend: Identity.

Identity was a quiet girl who dared speak a word to anyone other than her parents, her twin sister, and Mystery.

But Mystery never really considered her much as a friend. She never came over or never went to the park with Mystery. So she was all alone...

Mystery continued to watch her little brother smile and laugh as the breeze blew again and combed through her long, ghostly white hair. She closed her eyes and breathed in as she could hear the autumn leaves rustle around her.

Suddenly, she could hear light footsteps to her left and she opened her eyes.

She saw the cutest guy she's ever seen in her life. Her heart began to beat a million miles and her mouth went dry. She couldn't even speak. But it looked like the boy couldn't either.

He had shaggy brown hair that look soft. His eyes were blue like the ocean. Mystery stared at his eyes and the rest of him. She liked his style and the fact she got lost in his kind and gentle eyes.

"Hi, I'm Hayes. I noticed you were sitting alone, mind if I change that?" Hayes said kindly.

All she could do was nod.

Hayes smiled and took his place next to Mystery.

Both Hayes and Mystery were were nervous but Hayes stood like he was confident.

"Mystery-" she said, "my name is Mystery."

Hayes nodded and smiled at her.

"Do you go to Ridgeway?" Hayes asked.

Mystery nodded and asked, "Are you in 10th?"

It was Hayes' turn to nod.

"Does that mean I'll see you tomorrow?" Hayes asked sweetly.

"Sure does."

"Great. Then I look forward to it!" Hayes said as he stood up.

She smiled and bid him farewell for now.

Mystery watched as he walked away. His light kakis and mint green shirt complimented his nice figure.

She smiled at the fact an attractive guy like Hayes acknowledged her. Her loneliness was sure enough going to fade into oblivion soon enough.
