Never Ever

It was the first time Mystery walked home by herself. She had her hands in her pockets as she thought to herself.

She was so used to having the warm and gentle hand intertwined with hers.

Mystery held herself together. She knew this wasn't a break up, but she felt like it wasn't going to be forever.

Mystery turned into the woods and stomped on the dead leaves and crunched all the way until she got to Terre.

She looked up at the tall tree imagining all the times her and Hayes climb up the tree together.

She shook her and grabbed a hold of the steps and climbed her way up as quick as she could. Mystery knew that this time Hayes wouldn't be below her climbing after her or above her waiting at the top.

She was climbing alone while Hayes was back in his world of glory. She tried not to be jealous of mad but Hayes was everything to her. Mystery tried to remind herself from the beginning that she didn't want to feel for him because he was from the world of cameras and fame.

Mystery knew what she got herself into but she didn't care. Being with Hayes was different. He acted like he never even had the luxury of fortune and girl throwing themselves at him. He was a gentleman and the sweetest person Mystery knew.

She found herself finally pulling herself onto the floorboard of Terre and crawled to her seat where she has sat everyday.

Mystery stared out into the distance and just pondered to herself. She kept think of Hayes next to her kissing her cheek or pulling her close into him.

She then thought about how Hayes was with all of those girls and how she didn't want to blame him for missing his old life. She didn't want to blame him for loving all the attention. She wouldn't blame him if he went back...or did she?

Mystery could feel tears form in her grey eyes. She couldn't even imagine the thought of Hayes leaving.

Mystery banged her hand on the board and cradled herself in a ball and burst into tears full of anger, frustration, confusion, and sadness.

She never thought about being so attached to Hayes. She was hitting herself for being to madly in love with him. But she had no regrets. Mystery couldn't help but say she loved him. Loved...or loves?

Mystery sniffles her tears and unfurled herself as she wiped away her tears and closed her eyes. She lifted her arms up and embraced the wind around her and the open range of trees.

Mystery wanted to just relax and forget the world just for a minute. She could feel her tears drying on her pale face as the wind blew past her. She felt as if she was flying. She felt free.

She forgot the world.

Only for a minute.

But not him....

She could never forget him....

Ever.
