Prologue part two.
~Darby~
My dad went to an Ivy League school, and my mom is at least a college graduate. My father expects me to follow his footsteps at Yale and become a lawyer. My mom couldn't be prouder of her son who always got straight A's. I don't really want to be a lawyer, but I don't really want to be anything else. So I'll become a lawyer. I'll grow up in the same mold my father did, and my mom will be proud of me.
A pretty solid plan yea? It was great, until the mist. I started growing a beard and mustache faster than I'd ever seen before. I had to shave everyday, but it would be back full force later that day. Then, the hair on my head sprouted, and more than doubled in length over night. My arms started to fluff up and my legs too. I was more hair than human at that point, when on the last day of the second week, I woke up with fur. I was Bigfoot. I was a human sized dog. There was hair everywhere, I could barely see my eyes, ears, nose, and lips. Forget my clothes! I wasn't a fat kid, but the shirt I tried to put on ripped. I locked myself in my room and didn't come out.
