About five months ago, Silver Streak City was under threat of attack by a tyrant known as the Grand Master. He was defeated by a remarkable group of teens, each gifted with powers and superhuman abilities. That is, except me. I only stood out because the truth is, I managed to fight beside them without dying and I thought about that fact for five whole months. After the Grand Master was killed by Jace, the group disbanded to take care of some personal missions. But I didn't have a mission except to save whoever needed saving, so I stayed in Silver Streak City to clean up whatever crime was there.

It was in the dead of night when I walked along the rooftops, then I heard an alarm go off nearby. A small store was being held up as cops quickly drove over to the store. They parked their squad cars around the front entrance and shouted at whoever held the store up to come out with their hands up and their weapons dropped. Cops with their protocols, thinking these criminals even had a shred of humanity in them. I dropped from the rooftops and walked in the shadows, leaning against the wall of the store as I moved away from the lights of the front door. I pulled out two small hook blades and jabbed one of them into the wall, then used them to climb up to the rooftop.

On the rooftop, I quickly moved to a ceiling hatch and looked down. I dropped through the hatch and landed quietly on the ground behind the robbers. One of them stood at the front door with a hostage.

"Anyone tries anything, this man gets a bullet to the brain!" The robber shouted as he held his pistol to the man's head. The man was paralyzed with fear as a child looked on in fear. They dragged a child and his father into this, and that was just wrong even for a couple of low life robbers. I pulled out one of my modified colt pistols and moved quietly towards them. "Who feels like being a hero, huh?!" The robber with the hostage asked as his buddies grabbed whatever was in the registers.

"I'll step up to the plate," I said as I took a shot, the bullet hitting the robber in his shoulder. He fell to the ground screaming in pain, and I rushed closer to slam his head against the floor. His friends took their shots at me, but I moved behind cover and pulled the hostage down. "That your son over there?" I asked the man as we stayed behind the small counter.

"Y-yeah..! That's my son! Did they hurt him at all?" He asked as he looked over the counter, but I pulled him back down.

"Keep your head down. You have a son to look after, so you need to stay safe," I told him as I looked at him. All he could see were my eyes as my hood covered my head and the respirator mask kept itself wrapped around my mouth and nose. He nodded and I looked up. I knocked out the lights of the store and the only light that emitted at all were from the headlights outside. Some of the hostages screamed, and I quickly looked over the counter and examined the scene.

"Come here, bitch!" One of the robbers shouted as he grabbed a woman from the ground and used her as a shield. The other robber walked around the small aisles as he looked around for me.

"Stop hiding, and come out here," He said as he walked around, and I knelt back down. I then jumped over the counter and grabbed the roaming robber, slamming him back first into a small freezer door. I grabbed his face and shoved the back of his head through the glass, then dropped him to the floor. The last robber shot towards the area, but he missed every shot as I rushed him and shot a hidden blade from my gauntlet. I sliced his wrist, disarming him of his weapon, then threw a fist into his face. He fell to his knees and tried to get back up, but I wrapped an arm around his neck and held a blade to his chest.

"Wanna try anything?" I asked with my distorted voice, which changed due to the module I added in the respirator to change the tone of my voice. The robber shook his head no and I threw him onto the ground. "Good," I said as I stomped on his head, knocking him out. "I'd hate to have someone dig another grave for a worthless thug." I walked over to the few hostages and they all got up. "There are police outside. Calmly leave and go to them and they'll help." I looked over at the counter and helped the man behind it to his feet. "You have a kid to check on, I believe." He nodded and rushed over to his kid, but I was l was already leaving through the ceiling hatch.
