I was thrown onto my back as the new victim we found with the compound in his blood threw me across the streets of Silver Streak City. The subject himself had grown at least three times of a normal person's size, and his muscles all expanded and made bodybuilders look like the weaklings on the playground. People ran for cover and cars tried to drive away, but the new subject was too strong and lifted the cars like nothing. As he threw one at me, I put my arms out and caught the car, moving backwards fast as I tried to keep from getting crushed.
"Anytime you're ready to join, Oriel!" I shouted, and Oriel jumped over me and the car.
"I was just waiting for you to tag me in, dude," He said as he laughed and rushed towards the subject. As the subject tried smashing Oriel into the ground, Oriel swiftly moved around the subject and climbed onto his back, stabbing his neck with a syringe and injecting the subject with Eva's serum. The subject shrunk down back to human size and fell unconscious as Oriel pulled the syringe out and stood up straight. I walked over and looked at the subject. I quickly punched Oriel in the shoulder, and he groaned as he held it. "Ow... Metal still hurts dude."
"Tag," I said as I looked at him, then we both helped the subject up. We took him to the fortress and put him in one of the many cells. "Alright, let's see how many we've cured now."
"Well," Oriel said as he went down the hall and list of people. "We have Jeremy Smith, able to turn his entire body into ice, bet he'd make an excellent addition to any frat party before we cured him," Oriel chuckled as he said this. "Lewis Anderson, able to control ash and dust, that wasn't fun at all," Oriel rolled his. "Sarah Nelson, lava for blood and saliva. That was hot and disgusting." Oriel looked at me. "The bad kind of hot, by the way," He said and looked at our newest save. "And now, Anthony King, able to manipulate his muscle mass, and... well, I don't have to say anything else."
"Three cures in less than a week," I said as I looked at he cured subjects. "We're starting to make progress. Eventually, we can get to Veronnus Corps by the roots and take them out entirely."
"Yeah, but who knows how many are left," Oriel said as we walked out of the fortress and made it back to the warehouse. We walked into the warehouse and looked at Eva who was working on something new.
"Oriel," She said as she worked on the invention. "Come here. I need you to test this." Oriel walked over and she lifted the invention. It looked like a simple watch as she strapped it around his wrist. "Press the two buttons at each side at once." Oriel arched a brow, then shrugged as he pushed the buttons with his thumb and index finger. The device expanded and covered his entire left arm.
"Oh shit!" He shouted as he chuckled. "That's fuckin' awesome! What's it do though?" He asked as he looked at it. Eva quickly pulled a small satchel off the table and put it around his shoulder.
"I got the idea after the subjects we cured," Eva said as she pulled out a small purple crystal. "There's crystalized elements inside the satchel, and each crystal contains a different element, and each crystal contains enough energy for about 200 shots before you have to bring it back here to recharge." She put the purple crystal into a slot on the side of the glove around Oriel's forearm, and the small wire outlines on the glove glowed purple. "The recharge station is right here, actually." She showed us the recharge station, and it had several tubes attached to a small box with about 5 slots. "You have fire, ice, lightning, cement, and smoke," Eva said as Oriel shot a bolt of lightning at the wall.
"Legit," Oriel said. "This is a really amazing invention." He chuckled as he looked at it. His smile faded as his eyes fluttered. "Whoa... I got dizzy for a minute..." He looked at his arm as he put his right hand to his head. He screamed as he stretched his arm out. "Get it off!!" He shouted as he looked at his entire body. There was nothing on him, but he freaked out like he had a snake wrapped around him. He started scratching at his own flesh and shot a bolt of lightning into himself. He jolted around until he collapsed onto the ground.
