I knocked Eva onto the floor for what seemed like the 17th time in a row. After the stunt with Amaya, I wanted to make sure Eva didn't have to act as just a distraction, so I started to train her with what I knew. I taught her to aim properly, when you take a shot, how to channel her strength into melee strikes, how to fight in general. She still needed to string it all together, and that's where she had problems. I helped her up and she groaned in pain.

"How many times are you gonna knock me onto the floor?" She asked as I let her go and clenched my fists lightly.

"As many times as it takes to put what you've learned to the test," I said. "You learned everything perfectly, and you can execute it. I've seen you do so, but you need to put them all together and that's where you're having problems." I sent a fast jab at her head, and she grabbed my wrist. She sent a heel to my head, but I grabbed her leg and dropped her onto her back again. "You moved too slow that time. You have to get your opponent quickly, they're not gonna pause like in the training." I sighed and helped her back up, then she moved to her equipment.

"Maybe I'm just not meant to be a close ranged fighter," She said as she grabbed a towel and wiped her face clear of sweat. "Plus, I feel more comfortable with a weapon in my hands than if I'm just barehanded." Eva sighed as she went to change out of the clothes she had.

Oriel walked in after checking on the cured subjects and said, "There are 23 of those fuckers. Did you know there was 23? I swear, we were just on 12." He sighed and pulled his gauntlet off. "How's Eva's training going?" He asked, and I shook my head.

"She's putting herself down by saying she's not meant to be a close up fighter," I said and looked at Oriel. "You wanna try your luck with her? I'm probably not gonna get through to her myself." Oriel nodded and I moved to the computer. I saw what seemed like a simple purse snatcher take a woman's purse in the security camera, but before I could even stand up, I saw several bullets shot and the purse snatcher was gunned down. I quickly stood up and got my armor on, walking out and heading to where the snatcher was gunned down.

I got to the location and saw that the snatcher's body was taken, and a crude chalk outline was drawn, but the cops didn't seem to do much with it.

"Should we just mark this as a hit and run, an be done with it?" One of the cops on the scene asked, and his friend just nodded. The cops joined their partners and I dropped down to take pictures of the crime scene. While I took the pictures with a simple camera phone, I snatched up one of the bullet left.

"Oriel, Eva," I said into my earpiece as I went back up to the rooftops. "I found a purse snatcher that was gunned down. Now I'm one for dishing out punishment, but there's no need to shoot him down without a trial."

"I'm reading you loud and clear," Oriel said. "You want me to join you on this investigation?" He asked.

"Just be ready for some images I'm gonna send," I said, then sent Oriel and Eva the images took. I took a picture of the bullet and sent it along with the others and I waited for one of them to say something.

"Well I can tell you right now that the bullet is .50 Action Express round," Eva said on the other end. "And those types of rounds are normally used with LAR Grizzly Magnum pistols. And from the bullet entry points and exit points,  the gun would have needed to be shot like the shooter was towering over the purse snatcher."

"So I'm looking for a vantage point close enough for a .50 AE round to be effective enough to go through clean, but far enough to be hidden." I looked across from my location and used the zip wire in my arm to get there quickly. I looked around and found several casings on the rooftop, then picked them up. I took a picture of one of the casings and sent it to Eva.
