It was the dead of night and Oriel and I were taking count of how many subjects we had captured and cured. At least 14 cured subjects were accounted for, and they all seemed to adjust to the new surrounding. We started to let some of the subjects that had been locked up for too long roam around the fortress, and they started to make the fortress more hospitable for them. Oriel and I let them do their thing while we searched for more subjects to cure in Silver Streak. Some subjects have tried to leave the city altogether, but we brought them back and cured them while Eva worked on making more of the serum that cured them all.

When Oriel and I walked into the warehouse, Eva barely noticing us as she had her nose buried in some kind of device, and we both walked up to her as we took a look at the invention.

"Five bucks says it's a shield of some kind," Oriel said as he looked at the shape of it. "Wait.... Maybe it's a type of bomb." As Eva seemed focused on nothing but the invention, and Oriel looking at it like it was some exotic animal he had never seen, I walked over to the computer and looked at security cameras around Silver Streak. I saw a video of a female walking through the streets with a small group of males, all carrying weapons off all varieties. I stood up and marked down the street they were on.

I walked to the warehouse door, then stood still. I walked back to Eva and Oriel and looked at them, snapping right in front of them both. They both jumped and looked at me.

"Do you guys ever go outside for personal time?" I asked as I looked at them. "Come on, Oriel. Found a possible gang attack. Should be no problem," I said as I activated the armor, the armor going around my body normally, and Oriel activated his gauntlet. He moved the satchel full of ammo around his shoulder and we made our way to Fifth street.

"You ever notice that Fifth Street is one of the most used locations for these subjects?" Oriel asked as he put a black crystal into his gauntlet. We were right behind the gang, so I nodded to Oriel to let him know he could take the first shot. He aimed his gauntlet and shot a burst of smoke into about three of the men, all of them slowly suffocating until they passed out. The last few men were taken down by well placed shots by my .50 cal rifle to the legs. The female that led them stopped in her tracks, and all I saw was... a whole lot of pink.

The female turned around and Oriel and I just took a long look of her. She wore a pink V-neck shirt with a black leather jacket over it, a pair of black jeans with silver outlines and stitching, and small black combat boots that went up to her shins. She had a face that just had trouble written all over it with red lips, dark eye shadow over her silver eyes, and her hair was long and very, very pink.

"My head is hurting from all the pink," Oriel said as he looked away. I couldn't even look away if I wanted, almost like I was hypnotized by all the pink.

"You guys just had to ruin the fun, didn't you?" She asked us as she put a hand to her hip. "I was having all sorts of fun playing with these guys, and you guys took them down like nothing." She looked at me and she started to walk over. Oriel already switched his smoke crystal for the lightning crystal and had his gauntlet aimed at her, but I couldn't move my arms for some reason. "How rude!" She shouted as she looked at Oriel. "Pointing that weapon at little innocent me. What kind of gentleman are you?"

"The kind that doesn't fall for just some pretty face that took a dive into a freaking pink lemonade pool," Oriel said. "Come on, Kyle. We can take her out easily. She's not even armed," Oriel told me, but I couldn't move.

The girl turned back to me and gave a sad face as she said, "Your friend is really mean. Can you please remind him how to talk to a lady?" Almost instantly and against my will, I knocked Oriel's hand down with my left hand and threw my right fist across his face. He flew to the ground and I stood over him.
