"Evangeline." A familiar voice croaks.

I spin around, trying to find him.

"You cannot see me, darling, but I can see you. And I can see how much you have grown into the young woman I knew you would be." He says.

"I miss you grandfather." I say, sitting cross legged on the ground.

"I miss you too sweetheart." He says.

"Now listen to me, when you wake up, you are going to be a little spooked, you may not remember this." He says.

"Grandfather?"

"Yes Evangeline?"

"I love you."

"I love you too little one. Now walk down that path for a little ways, and jump into the pool on the right. Make sure you are wearing the right ring." He says.

I do, and find myself staring into a mirror smooth surface of water.

"Nothing to lose." I mumble, jumping in.

I wake up spluttering, staring in to round blue eyes.

"Evangeline! Thank goodness you are all right, you were scaring me." Lucy squeals, wrapping her arms around me.

Peter steps back awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

I smile at the sweet girl, and hug her back.

"Thank goodness the royal highness is alright, I don't care to think what would have happened otherwise." Mrs. Beaver says, handing me a bowl of soup.

I slurp it quickly and lay back down, per her orders.

"Rest Princess, for you have quite a day tomorrow." She whispers as she tucks me in.

I close my eyes and fall asleep.

-

I didn't notice it yesterday, but we are in a rabbit hole.

A rather large rabbit hole, but a rabbit hole all the same.

"Shhh, I hear bells." Mr. Beaver says with sudden urgency, and we all freeze.

He disappears and we all wait in baited silence.

"It's alright children, you can come out!" He says, poking his head back through.

Peter leads the way out, followed by Lucy. A man chuckles as Susan and I resurface.

I smile too, knowing exactly who this is.

Lucy steps foward, the biggest grin on her face. "Merry Christmas sir!"

"It certainly is Lucy, since you've arrived." He says, hands on his hips.

Susan turns to Peter.

"Look, I've been-"

"We thought you were the Witch." Peter says, stepping towards Nick.

"Yes well, I'm sorry about that. In my defense, I've been driving one of these things longer than the Witch." He says, pulling off his gloves as Susan once again starts to speak.

"I though there was no Christmas in Narnia." She says.

"No, not for a long time, but the hope that you have brought, your majesties, is finally starting to weaken the Witch's spell."

"Still, I dare say you could do with these." He says, turning and pulling out his big bag from the back of his sleigh.

"Presents!" Lucy squeels excitedly, but the look on nicks face as he pulls out her present says this is a serious matter.
